It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a pretty color challenge today!

GEARS & TEXTURES

I just purchased this bundle with the Bonus Coupons I got from my orders in January! I thought I’d brighten up the gears a little with this color combo!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Azure Afternoon cardstock was added on top.
The 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the circles in Peach Pie Ink, the grid rectangle with Coastal Cabana Ink and the splashes with Azure Afternoon Ink randomly over the background. It was added to the base card.
The 2-1/4 x 4 strip of Hobby Haven DSP was added across the center.
The gears were cut from Peach Pie, Coastal Cabana and Azure Afternoon cardstocks and assembled, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Let’s Celebrate from Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Azure Afternoon Ink on 1/2 x 3 Basic White and the ends cut at an angle, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Peach Pie 24-26 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.

CS235 – Sweet Bugs

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Critters and Insects”! I know Stampin’ Up! has lots of stamp images with this theme!

SWEET BUGS

I’m starting out this month using the darling Cute as a Bug Designer Paper for the focus on my card! Just a little additional stamping with the coordinating Sweet Bugs stamp set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock was added on top.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Cute as a Bug DSP was added down the right side.
The Everyday Arches was cut with the Die from Basic White cardstock and brushed along the bottom with Soft Sea Foam Ink and across the top with Balmy Blue Ink.
The dashed ground lines were stamped with Soft Sea Foam along the bottom and the flowers with Memento Black Ink. They were colored with Old Olive and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner and the arch added to the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The snail with ladybug and the butterfly were hand-cut from the Cute as a Bug DSP and added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of pink Delightful Decorative Dots were added to the background.

IM426 – Easter Basket

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a sweet bunny in a basket!

EASTER BASKET

This year we don’t have a realistic bunny image in our stamp lineup, but the Easter Basket bunnies are pretty cute and worked well!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Soft Sea Foam cardstock was torn across the top.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover was added to the front with the torn Soft Sea Foam strip adhered at the bottom.
The basket bottom and a couple weaves were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and weaved together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three leaf stems were cut from Soft Sea Foam using the Nature’s Symphony Die and added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals around the top of the basket.
Several tulips were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends, then added to the basket.
Two flowers and the bow were cut from Flirty Flamingo and the greenery from Old Olive cardstock using the Easter Basket Dies and added to the greenery in the basket.
The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends, then tucked in the basket around the flowers.
A large white Pearlized Faceted Circle was added to the bow.
The Easter Basket greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2 Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the basket with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Libby Fens 2026

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed. We will use the Colors or Layout of her design and recreate our version using NEW stamps/bundles or DSP! For our first “Case the Designer” week we are “Casing Libby Fens”!

Here’s the card I selected from her posts.

SIMPLY BEAUITFUL

I love the color combination on Libby’s card! She used stamped flower images on hers, while I used the dies from the Simply Beautiful Dies to create my flowers.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock was placed off center towards the right side.
The 3 x 4-1/4 panel of Basic White was cut about two-thirds and adhered to the front towards the right side again.
The leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut with the Die.
Two of the flowers were cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock and one from Summer Splash cardstock. The stamens were cut in the opposite colors and adhered all together. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the leaves tucked under them.
The greeting was omit stamped with Summer Splash Ink by inking only the “thinking” first, then inking only “of you” separately and below the other on a 1 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock. The end was cut into a banner.
A trio of pink Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background and a large white Pearlized Faceted Circle to the center of each flower.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a fun sketch again today!

EASTER BASKET

I love the sweet bunnies in this Easter Basket stamp set! Here’s another card idea using it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Beautiful Patterns Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock was added down the center.
A 2-1/4 x 4 piece of crumb cake patterned Easter Joy DSP was added towards the left side.
A 1-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of coordinating floral print Easter Joy DSP was added towards the right side.
The Spotlight on Nature circle was cut with the Die from Basic White cardstock and adhered in the center.
Happy Easter was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 3-1/4 strip of Balmy Blue cardstock and adhered at the bottom of the circle.
The bunny, chick and two eggs were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Lemon Lolly, Pretty in Pink, Balmy Blue, Peach Pie and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Easter Assortment embellishments were added in the background.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Hoppy Easter”!

EASTER BASKET

I had made these little rabbits for another card I started but didn’t use them. I finally decided to create a card that does use them!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shy Shamrock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/5 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
The grass was cut three times with the Easter Basket Die and adhered under the 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Easter Joy DSP, then added to the left side of the Basic White cardstock.
The stitched squares from Stylish Shapes were cut from Lemon Lolly, Peach Pie and Balmy Blue cardstocks and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The three bunnies were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Crumb Cake, Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Die and added to the squares, flat.
Happy Easter was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 5/8 x 3-1/4 strip of Basic White cardstock and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three eggs from the Easter Assortment were added to the squares.

IM425 – Springtime Scenes

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a green print…aren’t the swirls pretty?

SPRINGTIME SCENES

I used the circles in the Springtime Scenes Dies to create the look of swirls on my card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock was stamped with the leaf image randomly across the front using Garden Green Ink.
The Springtime Scenes solid circle and ring were cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, the partial leaf circle from Granny Apple Green cardstock and the all-over leaf circle from Granny Apple Green cardstock. All were adhered to the front.
The greeting was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label in the Springtime Scenes dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two fern leaves were cut from Garden Green cardstock and adhered next to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two large flowers were cut from Basic White cardstock and the center flowers from Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered together, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the centers of the flowers.

SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS

One of the reasons I purchase this Seasonal Celebrations set was for the variety of simple holiday icons…like this shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day! I only wished they would have put some small greetings for each of the holidays in there, too! I don’t have any here that say “Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder and adhered to the front.
I used the Three Banner Punch and punched three banners from Garden Green cardstock, then cut them in half so I could “extend” them under the arch. They were adhered to the front.
The Everyday Arches was cut from Basic White using the Die and the greeting from Banner Sayings stamped with Garden Green at the bottom. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the cut banners.
The shamrock was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Basic White and hand-cut, then added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the shamrock stem.
A trio of Dear Dots were added to the background.

Nice and easy way to copy Cindy’s card…think I’ll do a few of these for my St. Patrick’s Day cards to mail out!
