CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Preorder Product

Oh gosh! Only a couple more weeks until the new catalog goes LIVE on June 1st! I have a BIG wish list…how about you? But, Stampin’ Up! has given us a TASTE of the new catalog by allowing demos to preorder certain items! The theme for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary’s Saturday Blog Hop is our favorite new preorder product! Of course…I have MANY more than ONE favorite…all the new colors for sure! But, I do LOVE the new Rooted in Nature stamp set, so I went with that one.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, the leaf was stamped with Pool Party at the top, then Mint Macaron, then Bermuda Bay and finally Shaded Spruce at the bottom. I thought these colors complemented each other VERY well and I liked the dark to light alternating contract!
The You Are Wonderful greeting from Rooted in Nature was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
A few Pool Party Adhesive Sequins and Rhinestones add a little JAZZ to the card.

I think it is pretty elegant for a simple card, don’t you? No designer paper, no framelits, just stamping! CCMC510 – Love What You Do

It’s Thursday…and you know what that means! Another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a FUN sketch challenge this week and I used the Love What You Do stamp set that is available for EVERYONE to order in bundles this month!

I also used the fun Garden Impressions Designer Paper! Isn’t that pretty? I think this navy and yellow print is one of my all-time favorites! I’d LOVE to find a bedspread with these colors and that tiny floral print!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Garden Impressions Designer Paper, placed on an angle.
Over that is a 2 x 3 piece of coordinating So Saffron print also from Garden Impressions DSP.
The flowers from Love What You Do stamp set were stamped with Soft Sea Foam and colored with So Saffron Marker and centers with Mango Melody on the Stitched Shapes Circle. The greeting was stamped with Night of Navy ink. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Navy Gingham Ribbon is tied in a bow and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.

April 2018 – Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

I’m happy this month to be able to play along again this month with the Alaska Achievers Monthly Blog Hop! This blog hop is for those of us who have earned the Stampin’ Up! Alaska Incentive trip in July! Our theme this month is featuring the “Share What You Love” bundle from the new catalog that is available for EVERYONE to order NOW! A little peek at some FUN goodies coming your way in the new Annual catalog! Really, the most exciting part of this bundle for me is the Designer Paper! It is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! I love each and every print in it (and I’ve already gone thru almost a full package of it!) The polka dot pattern I used on this card is so fun and whimsical! I’ve also combined a little new with the old!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 nd folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A 1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock is adhered behind the 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Share What You Love Designer Paper so just a small amount shows and was added to the left side on front.
The Swirl from Swirly Scribbles Thinlits was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock to make a “wreath” and adhered on the front.
The flowers were handcut from the Share What You Love Designer Paper and added to the “wreath” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two of the stems from Love What You Do stamp set were stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink on Whisper White cardstock and handcut, then tucked under the flowers around the wreath.
It’s A Beautiful Day from the Love What You Do stamp set is also stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink.
Finally, one of the silver metal rosettes from the Embellishment Kit was added to the center of the flower.

SOOOO pretty…the Designer Paper is really spectacular!

IM20 – Love What You Do

It’s time for Create with Connie and Mary’s Inspiration Monday!!! Another beautiful watercolor background for our inspiration today! So much fun to use some techniques that I haven’t done in a while. This one uses Stampin’ Write Markers on the stamp, then spritz the stamp and paper with water…so pretty in real life! I also used TWO brand new colors in our lineup…Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green…I think I’m going to LOVE these colors!

So, here is what I came up with on Shimmery White cardstock. Can you see I also embossed in the background with the Lovely Floral Folder…gives it a little more depth! I also used another technique on the flowers…can you tell which one?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock (NEW color!), scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Shimmery White, I inked up the background image in Love What You Do with Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green Markers, then spritz the paper and the image and applied to the paper. I repeated a couple more times until the background was full. Let dry.
The background was embossed with the Lovely Floral Embossing folder towards the top.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Balmy Blue cardstock was added across the front and stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink.
The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then I used the rock n roll technique with Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green Ink edges on the solid image for the flowers (smaller one), I stamped couple times in each flower to fill them. I used a Granny Apple Green marker on the stems.
Some Rhinestones on the flower stems and in the center of the embossed flower completes it.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Retiring Bundle

Although I know everyone is excited about the new Annual Catalog coming soon, we wanted to say goodbye to our favorite retiring stamp set/bundles! This will give us chance to use them at least ONE more time! So, the theme for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary’s Saturday Blog Hop is our favorite retiring stamp set/bundle! I chose one of my first favorites, Cool Treats. Really, it was SO hard to just pick one. But, I thought this set would be fun to combine with our NEW In Colors! What do you think?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded. The fold is on the LEFT side for a little different look!
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, a 1 x 5-1/4 piece of the new Pineapple Punch In Color Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
The Call Me Clover 1/8″ Ribbon was adhere around the back and covers the seam on the front.
You’re Cook was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
The ice creams were cut with the Frozen Treats Framelits from Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstock, Blueberry Bush and Grapefruit Grove cardstocks, then stamped with the ice cream swirl highlights in the same colors. The were also colored with the Clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle!
The cones were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the Frozen Treats Framelits. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A few Rhinestone jewels add a little bling!

CCMC509 – Abstract Impressions

WOOHOO! New products in the house!!! I love this time of year. I’ve been busy sorting out the old and doing labels and organizing for the new! My paper racks look SO pretty with all the new colors! So, I just HAD to use one of the new stamp sets I ordered on preorder this month…Abstract Impressions! We also just opened our Create with Connie and Mary Abstract Impressions Collection for even MORE ideas using it! But this one is for the color challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!

Here’s what I did…isn’t it PRETTY?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pear Pizzazz cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sahara Sand cardstock.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White cardstock was stamped across the bottom with the stems/leaves stamp from Abstract Impressions solid image stamped off with Pear Pizzazz Ink and the second highlight layer stamped full strength with Pear Pizzazz Ink on top. A sponge dauber with Pear Pizzazz Ink added a little “ground” area along the bottom edge.
The flower blossoms solid images were stamped off with Flirty Flamingo Ink and the second highlight layer with full strength Flirty Flamingo Ink.
The greeting from Abstract Impressions was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
I wanted a little butterfly, so I stamped the body with Sahara Sand Ink, then the small highlight wings with Sahara Sand Ink and again with Flirty Flamingo Ink.
Some Iridescent Sequins added a little extra sparkle.

IM19 – You’re Priceless

It’s time for Create with Connie and Mary’s Inspiration Monday!!! When I saw the inspiration, I knew immediately what I’d be using…BRUSHO CRYSTALS!!! Not too long ago, I spent the entire day just trying various techniques using the Brusho Crystals. This was one of my samples! (AND…for more technique inspiration on using Brusho Crystals, check out the Create with Connie and Mary Brusho Crystals Tutorial Collection! It is fabulous and has SIX different techniques to try! See details HERE!)

So, here is what I came up with using my Brusho Crystals on Shimmery White cardstock. I let the background be the dominant focus of the card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pacific Point cardstock.
The Prussian Blue and Red Brusho Crystals were sprinkled on Shimmery White cardstock (a little blue goes a LONG way!) and then spritzed with water at close range. Love how it runs and melds together!
The greeting from You’re Priceless was stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White cardstock, then cut apart and adhered in the center of the card. The word Diamond was colored with a Real Red Marker and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The diamond gemstone was stamped with Memento Black, and the inside with Smoky Slate for a very subtle look. The entire thing was covered with Clear Wink of Stella.

The background shimmers from the Shimmery White and the gemstone shimmers from Wink of Stella! SOOO pretty in real life. OK…go check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Share What you Love

Hello everyone! Happy Cinco de Mayo! The theme for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary’s Saturday Blog Hop is the new early release “Share What You Love” bundles. I went with three simple cards that feature several items in the Share What You Love Suite…the Love What You Do stamp set, the Share What You Love Designer Paper, the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder, and the Rich Razzleberry Velve t Ribbon…yummy!

Stampin’ Details:

The base of all three are 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was embossed at the top with the Lovely Floral Embossing folder and pieces of Share What You Love Designer Paper were added to the side or bottom.
The Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon hides the seam on each card.
The greetings on the first two were stamped with Rich Razzleberry directly on the Whisper White.
On the first card on the left, a couple of the DSP flowers were cut out and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On the last card on the right, the greeting was stamped with Memento Black on Rich Razzleberry and punched with the Tailored Tag punch, it was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Here are some closeups so you can see the embossing!

As I said…SUPER simple, but the DSP and Velvet ribbon really jazz them up! These would be great cards when you are making a bunch!
