CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Hippity Hoppity Easter Favor

Most of you know that the reason I started selling Stampin’ Up! was because of the cool 3D items that I could make using stamps and products. AND…because the color coordination of Stampin’ Up! products appeals to my “control” tendencies. They make it SO easy! Well…Easter is one of those times that I LOVE to make little 3D favors for my Easter table. So, this week on the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop we are featuring Easter favors! Hope you get some FUN ideas! And, since I love the little bunny in Garden Girl, I had to feature her again on my Silver Mini Gable Box!

Stampin’ Details:

The base one of the Silver Mini Gable Boxes. They are just the perfect size for putting in some Easter grass and candy!
The sides are decorated with a 1-3/4 x 12 piece of the polka dot pattern in Bubbles & Fizz Designer Paper (one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration Level 1 selections!).
The flower row image in Garden Girl was stamped twice with Memento Black Ink on a 1-3/4 x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Stampin’ Blends. It was adhered to a 2 x 3-3/4 piece of Old Olive cardstock.
The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, then colored with the Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends. The puffy tail is colored with the Clear Wink of Stella.

The tag was made by punching the Tailored Tag from Calypso Coral cardstock and adding a Daffodil Delight 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle punch. Over that is a Classic Label stamped with Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched from Whisper White cardstock.
The butterfly from Garden Girl is stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends, then handcut and adhered to the tag with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
A 1/4″ circle was punched in the tag and a Rhinestone added for some bling.
The top is tied closed with some Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon (another free Sale-a-bration selections) and the tag tied on.

LOVE it! I think my grand-daughter will get this one in her Easter basket this year! Now to figure out what to do with the boys! lol!

It’s Thursday! Time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! Did you know you can now play along easier? Create your card using the sketch, then add it to our Inlinkz at the bottom of the post over on Create with Connie and Mary! We love to see what you do with it! So here’s the sketch for this week. I used Garden Girl and the sweet little bunny for my card.

I just love that little bunny in this set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Fresh Florals Designer Paper was added on top of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A 1 x 3-1/2 strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock was placed across the front, then a 1/8 x 4-1/4 strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper was adhered over it.
The bunny from Garden Girl stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends. Some Lemon Lime Twist ink was watercolored under the bunny. The tail was colored with Clear Wink of Stella. So sweet! It was cut with the Stitched Shapes circle.
The circle was adhered to a slightly larger scallop circle of Smoky Slate cut with Layering Shapes Circles, the adhere on a larger Layering Shapes Circle of Smoky Slate. Gives it a real tone-on-tone dimensional look! It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Classic Label was punched from Powder Pink cardstock and shortened.
Happy Easter was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched and shortened with the Classic Label punch, too. They labels were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

March 2018 Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

I’m happy this month to be able to play along again this month with the Alaska Achievers Monthly Blog Hop! This blog hop is for those of us who have earned the Stampin’ Up! Alaska Incentive trip in July! We are repeating the theme of Occasions and Sale-A-Bration products…only a couple more weeks to earn the Sale-a-Bration items FREE! I’ve used a couple Sale-A-Bration items on my cards…Heartfelt Blooms stamp set and the awesome Springtime Foils Designer Paper. The Calypso Coral card also has the SAB Shimmer Ribbon on it! I’m going to be SO sad when I can’t use these products regularly anymore…they are just gorgeous. The Heartfelt Blooms stamp set really makes stamping SO easy! The image does all the work for shading.

It is hard to tell from the photos, but the polka dots is a Copper Foil an the stripe is a Silver Foil. I thought they complemented the colors really well!

Stampin’ Details:

The Base is either 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Berry Burst or Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Springtime Foils Designer Paper (a FREE Sale-A-Bration Level 1 selection!)
The FREE Shimmer Ribbon in Calypso Coral (or Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbonn from the Occasions catalog), was wrapped around the DSP and tied in a bow.
The Heartfelt Blooms image was stamped with Berry Burst or Calypso Coral Ink on a 3 x 3-3/4 piece of Whisper White and layered on a 3-1/4 x 4 piece of Basic Gray or Old Olive cardstock.
The layers were placed at angles on the front of the card over the ribbon.
Thank you from Heartfelt Blooms was stamped on a 5/8 x 2 piece of Whisper White, cut with a flag end and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Isn’t it fun how different each of them look with the different colors?

Control Freaks March 2018 – Beautiful Bouquet

I must admit…I LOVE my flower stamp sets…I have way too many, but they are always the first ones to catch my eye in the new catalogs! You’ve probably just come from Wendy Weixler’s blog…love her projects, don’t you? Just click on the link below to take you around the entire blog hop for some GREAT inspiration!

Lots of Lavender

Lots of Lavender was the FIRST Sale-A-Bration set that I just HAD to have. You know…it is a FLOWER! But, I also have loved seeing the flower turned upside down as Wisteria! I enjoyed driving thru Alabama on Spring Break heading to Florida, and seeing the Wisteria blooming in the small towns we went thru! I combined the Lots of Lavender stamp set with the Picture Perfect Birthday greetings!

Here’s the card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The Wisteria from Lots of Lavender is stamped with Memento Black Ink ramdonly across the front and sides of the 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock, then two-step stamped with Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive Inks.
Happiest of Birthdays from Picture Perfect Birthday is stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.
The Tailored Tag Punch was punched from Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive cardstock, then added to the left side and cut off the edge of the Whisper White.
Three different sizes of the green Glitter Dots were added to the tag.

I used the Window Box to create a basket by cutting off the “lid” of the box.

The box base is made by cutting the Window Box Thinlit, you’ll need two cut from Old Olive cardstock and put together on the sides and bottom. (Cut off the lid.)
I cut six 1-5/8″ squares of Whisper White and stamped the lavender/wisteria on them as above and adhered them to the sides.
I added a 1 x 8-1/2 strip of Old Olive for the handle.
It is filled with white Sweet Soiree Readie Shreddie.
The greeting from Picture Perfect Birthday’s stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Wisteria Wonder cardstock and punched with the Tailored Tag punch. A 1/8″ hole was punched in the edge and tied on to the handle of the basket with Gold Tinsel Trim. Another green Glitter Dot was added to the tag, too.

IM12 Blooms & Wishes

It’s time for Create with Connie and Mary’s Inspiration Monday!!! I love the abstract look to this floral photo and those bright blooms! So many different directions you can use for inspiration, right?

Here’s what I did with the Blooms & Wishes stamp set. I wanted something that looked a little watercolorish. Came out clean and simple, just like the inspiration photo!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The top 2/3s of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with one flower in Blooms & Wishes in Melon Mambo Ink and the other flower with Pink Pirouette Ink.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of the green stripe Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper was placed at the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
A 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Melon Mambo cardstock was placed across the seam. Then the 1/8″ Old Olive Ribbon was placed on top of the Melon Mambo and adhered in the back.
The greeting from Blooms & Wishes was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Old Olive cardstock and punched with the Tailored Tag punch, then layered on another Tailored Tag punched from Pink Pirouette and offset slightly. They tag was placed on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Saying Goodbye Favorite SAB

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It’s time for a new Saturday Blog Hop! There is only a few more weeks of Sale-a-bration left, so the Design Team thought we’d feature our favorite SAB product by saying “goodbye”! It is going to be hard to put a lot of the SAB products on my retired shelf! But, I think my favorite right now is the new Springtime Foils Designer Paper. I JUST got it and don’t know why I waited so long! I think I need to stock up before it goes away for good! I matched it with the greeting from a Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Heartfelt Blooms.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A 3 x 3-3/4 piece of Springtime Foils Designer Paper was added to a 3-1/8 x 3-7/8 piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, then adhered to the front.
A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock was added across the front and stamped with the greeting from Heartfelt Blooms in Memento Black Ink.
One of the flowers from the Springtime Foils DSP was colored with Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers, then hand-cut out and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Gold Faceted Gem was added to the front for some extra bling.

I’m SO excited about this card…I can’t wait to make some more! It is so gorgeous with that metallic DSP in the background and on the flower.

CCMC501 Epic Celebrations

It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We enjoyed our “500th challenge celebration” week and appreciate all those that commented! But this week is a pretty color combination to get you even more ready for spring! I went with Epic Celebrations stamp set on my card this week!

Of course the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Paper has these colors in it, so I pulled it out to use! And, I hadn’t used Epic Celebrations very much…I love these tennis shoes! Did you know YOU can get this set FREE with a $50 order?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Bubbles & Fizz DSP was placed at the top of the base.
The 4×4 Whisper White was cut on a curve and a 3/4 x 4 piece of Bubbles & Fizz DSP added to the bottom.
The greeting and shoes were stamped on the Whisper White with Memento Black Ink, then colored with the Lemon Lime Twist marker.
The dots in the background were stamped randomly with Calypso Coral Ink.
A length of 1/8 Bermuda Bay Sale-A-Bration ribbon hides the seam at the bottom, and the Whisper White layer was adhered to the base card.
Finally, the green Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Sequins were added to the background.

FUN card, isn’t it? My grandson is going to get this one for Easter because he LOVE shoes! Well…I guess ALL my grand kids are really into shoes. They get it from their dads! lol!
