Saturday Blog Hop – Hot Days of Summer

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is showing the “Hot Days of Summer” for our Saturday Blog Hop! This will be interesting to see how our Design Team interprets this theme! I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to make at first! But, I have some summer watermelon decorations on my entrance table and that reminded me of Stampin’ Up!’s Cute Fruit stamp set in the Beginner catalog! Watermelon is perfect to eat in the summer when it is hot!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Seaside Spray cardstock was embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder and added down the center.
Two 1 x 5-1/4 pieces of Plaid Tidings (in the Aug-Dec catalog) were added on the sides. I think this plaid had perfect colors for summer!
A 3/4 x 4 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added across the front.
The Tasteful Label was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the Cute Fruit greeting in Memento Black Ink.
Two watermelons were stamped with Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green Ink on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut. The seeds were colored with a Basic Black Marker. The entire melon center was covered with Wink of Stella to make them look juicy. They were added to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed on the front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Artistry Blooms Sequins were added to the front for a little bling.

Not sure why the color of the watermelons look so red…they really are a perfect match to the Melon Mambo in real life! CCMC624 – Autumn Goodness

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday…does the time seem to be flying by for anyone else? I’m amazed at how quickly the days are going for me! This week we have a fun color challenge for you to try!

I love these new In Colors and they look great combined! I pulled out the new Autumn Goodness set (from the Aug-Dec catalog) for today’s card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cinnamon Cider cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Plaid Tidings DSP was wrapped with Cinnamon Cider Ribbon and tied in a knot, then the piece added to the left side of the base card.
The 4 x 4 piece of Whisper White was cut to a point and the Just Jade “ground” was colored. The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper corner, then it was added to the front.
The wheelbarrow from Autumn Goodness was stamped with Early Espresso Ink and colored with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends, with a little Bronze for shadows. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The wheel was cut from Early Espresso cardstock with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Die. It was added with a Mini Glue Dot.
The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Bumblebee, Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider Blends. It was added to the wheelbarrow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’m really happy with how this turned out! I’m glad I went ahead and got this set…so detailed and pretty! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did over on Create with Connie and Mary this week!

Saturday Blog Hop – Playing with Patterns

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is showing is “Playing with Patterns” for our Saturday Blog Hop! SOOOO many nice designer papers, this should be an easy one!

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Boho Indigo Product Medley Kit, on my card…I love all the pieces and parts to this kit! You get a stamp set, dies, designer paper, gold rimmed labels, ribbon, gems and some die-cut leaves in the package. Makes it REALLY easy to pull together!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Misty Moonlight cardstock.
A 3 x 4-1/2 piece of floral Boho Indigo Designer Paper was added to the left side and a 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of the reverse print side for the right side.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla was added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The vase from Boho Indigo stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on scrap Very Vanilla and the flowers with Bumblebee Ink. They were cut with the kit Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were cut with the kit Dies from Just Jade cardstock and tucked behind the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Just Jade In Color Enamel Dots were added to the centers.
Thank You from Boho Indigo was stamped with Misty Moonlight on one of the gold edged tags in the kit, then added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Celebrate Sunflowers

Earlier this week, I showed you a card using the Medium Daisy Punch that I made for the CCM Inspiration Monday Challenge featuring a yummy daisy cake! SEE DAISY CARD HERE. But, what I didn’t show was the card that I made FIRST. I was trying to make a daisy flower with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and Sunflower dies. I really liked how it turned out, but it really didn’t resemble the Sunflower Cake that was my inspiration. So…here is the card with directions that I didn’t show earlier! What do you think? I think it passes for a daisy!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock.
A 3-7/8 x 4-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the new Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder and added towards the top.
Five 1″ Whisper White punched circles were added along the bottom.
The Sunflowers outline and detail dies were cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock and the center from Daffodil Delight cardstock, then adhered together and added to the front.
Celebrate You from Celebrate Sunflowers was stamped with Memento Black Ink and hand-cut closely around it, then added on top.

CCMC623 – Coming Home

Happy Thursday! It is time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This month we have been “casing the catalog”. This will be our last one cased from the Annual Catalog!

Even though the sample card is square, I went with the traditional rectangle fold on my card using the new Aug-Dec Catalog bundle, Coming Home stamp set and Home Together Dies.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Seaside Spray is on top (I love these two colors combined!)
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of the striped Trimming the Town DSP is added across the front.
A 1 x 5-1/4 piece of the diagonal stripe in Trimming the Town DSP was cut with the curved die in Home Together Dies, then added on top.
The tall house, small house and three evergreens were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with Old Olive Combo, Granny Apple Green Combo, Poppy Parade Combo, Smoky Slate Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were cut out with the Home Together Dies.
The tall house was placed first with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the smoke swirl stamped with Smoky Slate Ink above the chimney. The small house and evergreens were placed across it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Classic Label Punch, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Elegant Faceted Gems were added in the background.

IM134 – Medium Daisy

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful summertime decorated cake.

I love this yellow/black/white color combination! I used the Medium Daisy Punch to get the look of the daisies on the cake.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock was added on top.
- The 2-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the new Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder (Aug-Dec catalog) and adhered on top.
- A 1/4 x 5 strip of Daffodil Delight was added across the bottom.
- Seven 3/4″ Circles were punched from Whisper White cardstock and added across the bottom.
- Three Medium Daisies were punched from Whisper White cardstock and added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three 3/4″ circles were punched from Daffodil Delight and added to the centers.
- Celebrate You from Celebrate Sunflowers was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and trimmed, then added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New In Color

Happy Saturday! This week our Design Team is showing off their FAVORITE new In Color! I’ve known about this challenge “forever”, but still I procrastinated making my card! I truly couldn’t decide which color was my favorite! So…I broke the tie by figuring that Cinnamon Cider had been used the most because I had to reorder a new package of cardstock! lol! Of course, part of that was because I used it on a swap or two that I joined!

I’ve combined the new Cinnamon Cider color with a brand new bundle, Love of Leaves, that will be in the August-December catalog (no longer called Holiday). Beginning next week, customers will be able to order from the catalog, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cinnamon Cider cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The 3 x 4-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake was embossed/cut with the new Stitched Leaves Die at the top…ca you see the textured lines? VERY cool!
Along the bottom is a 3/4 x 3 piece of Flowers for All Seasons DSP.
The large leaf was cut with the Stitched Leaves Die and the outline Die (at the same time!) from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The two smaller leaves were also cut with the Stitched Leaves Dies and outline Dies from Brushed Copper Paper (NEW in the Aug-Dec catalog!)
The greeting from Love of Leaves was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Tasteful Labels Die, then added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (LOVE that those dies are SO versatile!). The Brushed Copper leaves were tuck under the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Copper Metallic Ribbon (new Aug-Dec catalog) was tied in a bow around the stem.
A trio of Cinnamon Cider In Color Enamel Dots were added in the background.

CCMC622 – Cute Fruit

Another Thursday has rolled around…aren’t these weeks going by FAST??? Time again for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This month we are “casing the catalog”. We picked a card from the Annual Catalog to recreate using the layout or colors, but make it different.

CUTE FRUIT

Don’t remember seeing this Cute Fruit stamp set in the Annual Catalog? That’s because it isn’t in there. Stampin’ Up! has also published a “Beginner Catalog” and the set is featured in it! The Beginner Catalog is used to introduce new stampers to Stampin’ Up! and prevent them from being overwhelmed by the huge Annual Catalog. But, I thought this set was just too cute to pass up, so I ordered it for myself!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bumblebee cardstock is embossed with the Old World Paper Embossing Folder and added on top.
Three 3/4 x 3-1/2 strips of Flowers for Every Season DSP were cut and added to the background.
A 2 x 4 piece of Whisper White was punched with the Triple Banner Punch at the bottom and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pineapple base was stamped with Bumblebee Ink and the top with Just Jade Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then hand-cut and added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensional.
Some Linen Thread was wrapped around the pineapple neck and tied in a bow.
Smile from Cute Fruit was stamped with Just Jade Ink and the circle with Magenta Madness Ink, then cut with the 1″ Layering Circles. It was added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Magenta Madness In Color Enamel Dots were added in the background.
