IM57 – Forever Lovely

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! Look at this pretty dress! LOVE the clean, crisp look to it! It certainly inspired a thought for a card in me!

FOREVER LOVELY

I’ve used the greetings, hearts and small flower in this set a lot, but not the long row of flowers! But I thought this set would be perfect for this inspiration challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the top of the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White cardstock, a 1-1/4 x 5 piece of Tranquil Textures Designer Paper was placed along the bottom.
A length of the Balmy Blue Organdy Ribbon (FREE SAB) was wrapped around and tied in a bow.
The row of flowers from Forever Lovely was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink across the top, then the leaves with Night of Navy Ink.
The Whisper White layer was added to a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Night of Navy cardstock.
The outline of the flowers was cut with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits, then trimmed around the flowers on the attached side and adhered on top with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Valentine Favor

Happy Saturday! On Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop we are showing off our Valentine Favors…just in time for Valentine’s Day! I received one of these Narrow Notecards and Envelopes at OnStage with our Make & Take packet that I hadn’t used, so I decided to see what I could do with it! Inside are a couple Valentine Bubble Wands I found at The Dollar Tree.

Stampin’ Details:

The Narrow Envelope is covered with a 4 x 6-1/2 piece of All My Love Designer Paper that overlaps in the back and adheres together.
The large oblong Heart from Be Mine Stitched Framelits was cut from Basic Black cardstock and added at an angle on the front.
The All My Love Lovely Lipstick Ribbon was wrapped around the envelope and tied in a knot.
The other hearts were cut from Whisper White and Lovely Lipstick with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits, then added to the front. The Lovely Lipstick one is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The skunk from Hey Love is stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Smoky Slate, Basic Black (Light) and Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. He was cut out and added to the heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stinkin’ Sweet from Hey Love stamp set was stamped with Lovely Lipstick Ink on scrap Whisper White and punched with the Christmas Traditions Punch (oops…just realized that this didn’t carryover! Oh well, you could easily substitute either Darling Label from the Annual Catalog or Cute Crew Punch from the Occasions Catalog…both of those are the same size!)
The Heart Epoxy Droplet was colored with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend and added to the tag.
The smallest stitched heart was cut from All My Love DSP and added to the envelope flap at the back so the flap tucks behind it to hold the envelope closed.

CCMC546 – Home to Roost

It’s Thursday and another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It’s a fun sketch this week!

I decided to use a Sale-A-Bration set that I hadn’t inked up…Home to Roost! I just love that little rooster! And that black plaid is my FAVORITE DSP pattern in the Botanical Butterfly package that is in the SAB catalog. Here’s what I did:

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the base card.
A 3 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added to the left side.
The 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Botanical Butterfly black plaid DSP was added on top.
A 5″ piece of Burlap Ribbon was added across the front.
The wheat image was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on the 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, and the greeting stamped with Memento Black.
The rooster from Home to Roost was stamped with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White, then colored with Mango Melody, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the Whisper White panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hey Love Valentine Card

It is SOOOOO cold today…all the schools in the area have closed. My studio is in the front of the house and I’m seeing hardly ANY traffic go by from our neighbors! Good day to stay inside!

I just can’t get enough of these critters in the Hey Love stamp set! I used it on my swaps for an Go Diva’s Occasions Swap last month!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Granny Apple Green, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 square of All My Love Designer Paper.
The alligator from Hey Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the top of a 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 Stitched Rectangle cut from Whisper White.
He is colored with Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake and Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
The Stitched Rectangle is layered on 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock.
Across the front is a 3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Real Red cardstock, stamped with Hey Valentine in Memento Black.
A bow was tied from Whisper White Baker’s Twine and added to the Real Red.

Isn’t he just TOO cute? I love it!

IM56 – Tea Together

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! LOVE the yellow and white stripes on these candies/cookies, or whatever they are!

TEA TOGETHER

I just purchased the Tea Together stamp set after I got the coordinating Framelits for free with SAB rewards! Since they were be in the new Annual catalog coming out in June, I thought they would be nice to have on hand. Maybe my grand-daughter will want a tea party one day! lol! I also like a hot cup of tea in the afternoon after lunch!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Brights Designer Paper in the Daffodil Delight stripe was added to the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock and the Daffodil Delight Sheer Ribbon (FREE SAB selection) was wrapped around and tied in a bow on the front.
The teapot from Tea Together stamp set was stamped with Memento Black on Daffodil Delight cardstock, then the handle, lid, base and spout were colored with Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends! I love the contrast of colors! It was cut with the Tea Time Framelits (FREE SAB!)
The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then outlined with the Daffodil Delight Blends Marker, and leaves with Granny Apple Green Blends. They were cut with the Tea Time Framelits and added to the teapot with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the center of the flowers are small green Glitter Dots.
The greeting from Tea Together was stamped in the background with Memento Black Ink.

Happy Saturday! On Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop we are showing off our musical theme inspirations for the next few weeks! This week our theme song is “My Funny Valentine” by Frank Sinatra, featuring humorous or children’s cards! Of course, I HAD to use Hey Love stamp set…we are featuring it with our Connie and Mary Creations Collection with SIX favor boxes. If you ordered it, you now have a CARD to go along with it!

HEY LOVE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lovely Lipstick cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of All My Love Designer Paper is added to a 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 layer of Lovely Lipstick cardstock and adhered to the front towards the left side.
The other DSP design was cut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits (don’t you LOVE them???)
The ape in Hey Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Crumb Cake, Ivory and Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. It is cut out and added to the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Hey Love was stamped with Memento Black on 1-1/8 x 1-1/2 piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock, cut a flag end and tucked under the ape.
Two Heart Epoxy Droplets were colored with Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends and added to the background.

Don’t you LOVE this cute little set??? I can’t decide if I like the Ape or the Alligator better! OK…what did the rest of the Design Team do with the “My Funny Valentine” theme blog hop challenge? CCMC545 Be Mine Stitched Framelits

Happy Thursday! We have another Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge for you this week…and the colors are just in time for Valentine’s Day cards! Although…our Challenge team could use the colors for ANY card (and they did!)

BE MINE STITCHED FRAMELITS

I ended up using all pieces that were laying on my desk that I had started for other projects! I love when I can use them up! After I finished the card, I realized that I hadn’t done ANY stamping on the front! Oh well…sometimes the diecuts are just SO much fun to use all by themselves!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lovely Lipstick cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
Across the front is the 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of All My Love Designer Paper.
The 1/8″ All My Love Flirty Flamingo Ribbon is wrapped around the Whisper White panel and tied in a bow towards the left side.
The large stitched heart was cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
The two smaller scalloped stitched diecuts were cut from the All My Love DSP and added to the larger heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some extra hearts left from cutting the long outline row of hearts were added around the larger heart.
Love was cut from Lovely Lipstick cardstock using the Well Written Framelit Dies…I love all the options with this huge bundle of words and greetings!

Isn’t that sweet??? I love these Be Mine Stitched Framelits with all the different sized hearts, especially the small scallop stitched hearts like I used in the middle of the larger one! IM55 – Humming Along

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! Aren’t these colors gorgeous! I’ve always loved a deep raspberry color!

HUMMING ALONG

After SEVERAL trial and errors, I finally settled on Berry Bliss to use for my inspiration card. I little lighter than I really wanted to use, but we don’t have Raspberry Ripple anymore! lol! Here’s what I came up with…I’ve had my Humming Along stamp set since OnStage, but I hadn’t even put it together! So, I pulled it out to use today!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Smoky Slate cardstock.
Over that is a 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Berry Bliss cardstock, run thru the Big Shot with the new Dot to Dot Textured Embossing folder.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Botanical Butterfly DSP was added across the front.
The Braided Linen Thread was wrapped around and tied in a knot, then the ends were frayed.
The flower from Humming Along was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and carefully colored with Berry Bliss, Daffodil Delight and Garden Green Markers and an AquaPainter by scribbling on the case and picking up the colors with the AquaPainter. After it dried, the lines were defined again with the Markers for a definite color contrast. It was cut with the largest Layering Oval Framelit.
Thank you from Humming Along was stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White and cut with the Layering Oval Framelit. Both were placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I haven’t done that outline marker technique in a LONG time…I have gotten so used to using the Stampin’ Blends! I can’t wait until we have the Blends in EVERY color! OK…go check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!
