CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Love Me Tender

Happy Saturday! This week on Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop we are moving into the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration items and showing off our musical theme inspirations for the next few weeks! This week our theme song is “Love Me Tender” by Elvis Presley, featuring romantic cards! I had bits and pieces of this card laying on my desk and challenged myself to make a card with them!

FOREVER LOVELY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 piece of regular Very Vanilla cardstock is embossed with the Lace Textured Embossing Folder and added to the base card.
A top 2 x 4 piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock was cut with the Lovely Flowers Edgelit DIes.
The bottom 3/4 x 4 piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock was cut with the border scallop from Be Mine Stitched Framelits. (I think these two sets are so wonderful together that I’ve combined them a lot!)
You are Loved from Forever Lovely was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then punched with the Pretty Label Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two flowers from Forever Lovely were stamped with Lovely Lipstick Ink on Very Vanilla and cut with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits. The leaves were stamped with Garden Green Ink and also cut with the Edgelits, then tucked under the popped up flowers.

I love all the texture on here and I’m sure my hubby will love it…even those it has flowers on it! OK…what did the rest of the Design Team do with the “Love Me Tender” theme blog hop challenge? CCMC544 – Meant to Be

We are back with a sketch challenge today on Create with Connie and Mary! Isn’t it fun?

One of my downline recently promoted to SILVER! So, I used this sketch as a basis for the card I mailed to her. You really can’t tell how pretty this is with the Silver Foil heart cut with the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies and embossed with the new Lacy Textured Embossing Folder!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of black check DSP from Butterfly Botanical Designer Paper (FREE SAB!!)
A 1 x 3-1/2 piece of Gray Granite cardstock is added on top, along with a 1/8 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock.
The largest heart from Be Mine Stitched Framelits was cut from Silver Foil. The center was embossed with the Lacy Dynamic Embossing Folder…it gives a nice, deep impression! The scallop heart was added flat to the card and the embossed center was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Congratulations from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a strip of 1/2 x 3 Whisper White cardstock towards the right side, then added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

SWEETEST THING

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock.
Along the right side, a 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of How Sweet It Is Designer Paper is added.
A 1 x 4 piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock was added across the front.
The label and greeting from Sweetest Thing were stamped with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White and cut with the Jar of Sweets Framelit.
The candy jar and gummy bear images from Sweetest Thing were also stamped with Memento Black Ink, colored with Stampin’ Blends and then cut with the Jar of Sweets Framelit. They were added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Glitter Enamel Dots were added on front. I love how well they coordinate with this designer paper!

IM54 – Beauty Abounds

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! Mary is making me hungry for sweets with all these cake and cookies inspiration pieces she selected! Today it is a bright and cheerful cake!

BEAUTY ABOUNDS

I decided to be quite literal when interpreting this cake! Here’s what I came up with! TIP: You also have pieces for two more cards just by using the shapes again with the other colors, putting them together like a puzzle!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
I cut three pieces to 4×4 in Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove and Daffodil Delight cardstock. Placing them all together, I cut into three diagonal pieces. I used one of each of the colors and shapes to add to the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
The entire layer was run thru the Big Shot with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
I used the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and the same colors, plus Call Me Clover, to punch out the flowers and leaves.
I used the Spring Punch for the vines.
A 1″ Circle punch was used for the four Grapefruit Grove circles.
I added different sized Rhinestones in the centers of the flowers and curled them slightly so they are raised off the card.
I stamped Hello from Beauty Abounds stamp set with Memento Black Ink in one of the circles.

FOREVER LOVELY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of All My Love Designer Paper is layered on a 3-5/8 x 4-3/8 piece of Whisper White cardstock.
A 1/2 x 3 piece of coordinging DSP is placed across the front, and a 1/2 x 2-1/4 piece of Flirty Flamingo is layered on top of it.
The greeting from Forever Lovely is stamped with Lovely Lipstick Ink on scrap Whisper White and cut with the Stitched Shapes Circle. The trio of hearts was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The rose in Forever Lovely is stamped with Lovely Lipstick Ink on scrap Whisper White and leaves with Garden Green Ink, then cut with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The outline Rose image from the Edgelits was cut from Lovely Lipstick cardstock and tucked under the leaves and circle.

Today we are back with a new Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Color Challenge!

BLOOM BY BLOOM

I went with the Bloom by Bloom stamp set that coordinates with the Designer Paper that has these colors, Happiness Blooms! It seems that quite a few of us had the same idea! lol! But amazing how different our cards are!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Happiness Blooms Designer Paper was added to the right side of the base.
A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Calypso Coral cardstock is added behind the 3 x 4-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamped with the Thinking of You greeting from Roots of Nature in Night of Navy Ink.
Two of the Bloom by Bloom flowers were stamped with Calypso Coral Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and the centers with Night of Navy Ink. Four leaves were stamped with Call Me Clover Ink. All were cut out and added to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Call Me Clover Dots from Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were added to the centers.

IM53 – Lovely Lattice

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! Don’t these cookies look SOOO yummy? I wish I could decorate cookies like this…but way past my skill level! lol!

LOVELY LATTICE

I decided to use the Sale-A-Bration set, Lovely Lattice (FREE with a $50 purchase!) for my card today in these soft, muted colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic Gray cardstock was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder.
A 1/8 x 5-1/8 strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock was added across the front.
The Lovely Lattice flower bundle was stamped with Memento Black Ink twice on Very Vanilla cardstock. The entire piece was colored with Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Smoky Slate and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. It was cut out by hand and popped up on the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The second piece I colored just the two larger flowers in the center and cut them out separately, then popped them up on top of the others with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
It’s Your Day from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Memento Black on scrap Very Vanilla, cut a flag end and tucked under the flower bundle.

This stamp is SO much fun to color…would be great in ANY colors! But I have to admit, I really LOVE the yellow and gray combination! OK…go check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

First up is “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor. Can be candy, cake or any sweet images on our cards!

BIRTHDAY CHEER

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2 x 4 piece of striped How Sweet It Is Designer Paper is added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
The row of cupcakes from Detailed Birthday Edgelits were cut from Whisper White cardstock and then colored with Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. They were adhered above the seam of the Designer Paper.
A length of 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle was wrapped around and tied in a bow under the cupcakes.
For your birthday from Birthday Cheer was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper right corner.
A trio of Glitter Dots were added to the top for a little bling!
