CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Make it Simple

It’s Saturday! Time for the Create with Connie and Mary Design Team Blog Hop! Today’s theme is Make it Simple Fall Cards! Who can’t relate to that? My card came together really quickly and still has lots of fall colors in it! I used my favorite set, Lighthearted Leaves, too!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Hello Honey, folded in half. The bottom corners are rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White has the Thankful greeting in the hostess set, Six Sayings, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The bottom corners are also rounded.
The leaf from Lighthearted Leaves is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on scrap Whisper White, then colored with Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Markers. It was then cut with the Leaflet Framelits and popped up on the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Gold Cording was tied in a bow, and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
Finally, three orange sequins from the Brights Collection were added with the Fine Tip Glue Pen (LOVE that stuff!)

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – It’s Fall!

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme this week is FALL…using any of the fabulous sets in the Holiday or Main Catalog!

I chose to use the set, Cheer All Year, for my card today. I’ve only had it a short time, but I love the greetings in this set and wanted to give it some love!

Here are the details:

The Tangelo Twist cardstock base is a partial fold card cut 4-1/4 x 9 and scored at 5-1/2.
On the front is 3-1/4 x 4 piece of Into the Woods DSP in the Tangelo Twist leaves pattern, then a 1 x 4 strip of Woodgrain DSP added along the left side.
The Early Espresso Ribbon is tied and knotted around the DSP layer.
The 4th from largest circle in the Circle Framelits cut the Whisper White, with Hello Autumn stamped in Tangelo Twist Ink along the bottom.
Two acorns from Cheer All Year were stamped with Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip on scrap Whisper White, then punched with the Acorn Punch. They are popped up on the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added two Tangerine Tango Candy Dots to the acorns for a little color!
The Circle is adhered under the left side to the front flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals, too.
Inside is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake embossed with the Woodlands Embossing Folder.
I purposely left the inside without a greeting so I can use it for any event that I need it for!

I love the unusual fold on this…here’s a look from the top.

September Grand Achievers Blog Hop

Woohoo! It’s time for the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop where you get inspiration from ALL around the WORLD! These gals have some MAJOR talent, so hop on and take the tour! I’m honored to be among them! Our theme this month is Remember to Give Thanks! Well, Stampin’ Up! certainly has a LOT of thank you greetings in the main catalog! However, I chose to use one of my brand new sets, Lighthearted Leaves, for mine. It has a beautiful Thanksgiving greeting in it. And…since we are now into the fall season in the United States, it is appropriate, don’t you think?

I took my inspiration from my bedspread…of all things! I knew that sometime this fall I wanted to make a card using leaves and these colors…they are SO calming. My walls are Pool Party with one accent wall done in Chocolate Chip.

And here’s my card using Stampin’ Up!’s Lighthearted Leaves from the Holiday Catalog! I think I’ll make a few more and switch out the greeting to birthday…we have so many birthdays in September and October in our family!

Here are the details to recreate this card.

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Chocolate Chip is embossed with the Woodlands folder. At the bottom is a 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Whisper White stamped with the greeting in Chocolate Chip ink.
Gold Cording is wrapped around three times and hides the seam, then the Chocolate Chip layer is added to the base card.
The Lighthearted Leaves images were stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink on Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe, then cut with the Leaflets Framelits. They are added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A little more Gold Cording is tied in a bow and added to the stem of the smaller leaf.

I debated back and forth on whether to color the leaves a little more…then decided to let them be very clean and simple…like the inspiration bedspread!

Sept Tour de Freaks – All About Fall

You know what time it is? Time for the Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! Our theme this month is Fall Holidays! We have a fun lineup for you today! You’ve probably just come from Jan Tinklenberg’s blog…aren’t her ideas fantastic? Follow the next buttons until you complete the tour and come back here!

I’m always excited to decorate for fall. And, even though it is early, I start thinking about the favor I will put on my table settings at Thanksgiving! My project this month serves a dual purpose…I can enjoy the favors as a centerpiece in the Sunflower Berry Basket right now…then place the individual Indian Corn favors on the plates at Thanksgiving! I’ve got several photos and hope you can appreciate the FUN-NESS of this project from the photos! They look great in person!

The first photo shows the Berry Basket Die decorated with the sunflower punched with the Festive Flower Builder Punch. It also shows a couple of the Indian Corn favors with the A Little Something Greeting stamped on leaves cut with the Leaflet Framelits, plus a little Gold Glimmer Paper bling!

Isn’t that fun? I love how it turned out and it will be a great addition to my fall home decor! If you are curious, I was able to get 5 favors from one bag of fall colored M&Ms…and I was very generous with my portion…you could make them a little smaller and get 7-8 out of one bag easily! I have a short and sweet tutorial on how to make these Indian Corn favors in my blog post dated 9/21/15…I’ll add a link here as soon as I’m able (need to follow the Tour guidelines!)

I recently made thank you cards for some Online Orders that I received. And…quickly used them all up so I need to make some more! Here are a couple versions I did.

Here are the details for both cards:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (or 4-1/4 x 11) Old Olive cardstock, folded in half.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Woodlands folder (either horizontally or vertically)
a 2 x 4 strip of Into the Woods Designer Paper was adhered along the left side.
Happy Scenes was stamped with Archival Black Ink on Hello Honey cardstock, then cut with the Oval Framelits (larger size for the horizontal one). A mask was placed along the ground line, and then Tangelo Twist was sponged along the skyline and Old Olive along the grass line.
The pumpkins were colored with the Tangelo Twist Marker and the leaves with Mossy Meadow and Real Red Markers. The oval was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A small leaf was cut from Hello Honey with the Leaflet Framelit Die and sponged around the edges with Tangelo Twist Ink. It was placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a Crumb Cake Candy Dot added to the leaf.
The greeting was stamped on a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White with Archival Black Ink and cut the flag end, then adhered to the oval.

OK…what version do you like best? lol! I like them both!

SUOC131 Vintage Leaves

It’s time for another Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge…the theme is Get Well or Thinking of you! I pulled out my Vintage Leaves set again…perfect for this time of year! I made up some brightly colored leaves using inks and sponge daubers!

Here are the details to recreate this card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, folded in half.
The 3-3/4 x 5 Crumb Cake layer is embossed with Wonderland Embossing Folder.
A 1 x 3 strip of Whisper White was stamped with the Sorry You’re Sick greeting from Fabulous Four stamp set in Early Espresso Ink and adhered to the left side.
The leaves were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White, the sponged with Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Hello Honey inks using sponge daubers. They were placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Gold Metallic Button was tied with Linen Thread and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC372 Among the Branches

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge. We’re doing the following color combination this week, so grab your stamps and play along!

Here’s my card:

And here are the details to recreate it:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Delightful Dijon, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Night of Navy is embossed with the Woodlands Embossing Folder. A sponge dauber and White Craft Ink was added to the raised areas to make them stand out.
A 2-1/4 x 4 panel of So Saffron with a 2 x 4 piece of In Color Pattern DSP was placed along the left side.
Gold Cording was wrapped three times around the Night of Navy panel and secured in the back.
The Autumn Wishes medallion from Among the Branches was stamped with Night Of Navy Ink on Whisper White and punched with the 2″ Circle punch, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
LOTS of little leaves from Among the Branches were stamped with So Saffron and Delight Dijon Inks and hand cut, then placed among the tree trunks and medallion.
