CCMC631 – Have a Hoot

Happy Thursday! It’s time for a Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge…loved working with the sketch this week!

Here’s what I came up with using the Have a Hoot stamp set…so cute!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Pretty Peacock was embossed with the Cobwebs embossing folder.
A 1/2 x 5 piece of Black Glitter Paper was added across the front.
A 3/4 x 4 piece of black striped Magic In This Night Designer Paper was added to the front.
The small label from Halloween Magic Dies was cut from Whisper White cardstock
The owl image from Hallows Night Magic stamp set was stamped in Memento Black Ink on the label. The branch was colored with Bronze Blends and the moon with Light Mango Melody Blends. Boo was stamped with Memento Black Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The owl was stamped again on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake Blends, Light Pretty Peacock and Mango Melody. It was cut with the Halloween Magic Dies and added to the branch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The spiderweb from Halloween Magic Dies was cut from Basic Black cardstock and added behind the label.
A Iridescent Pearl was added to the center of the cobweb.

IM142 – Banner Year

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a fun fall wreath? I love the colors!

Wreath Builder

I knew right away I had to use my Wreath Builder Dies to make my card! I intertwined the two different types of wreath die cuts, then tucked in some snipped pieces to fill it out!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder.
- A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
- The 3/8 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Banner Year and added across the front to hide the seam.
- One of the wreath shapes from Wreath Builder Dies was cut from Basic Gray cardstock and the other from Gray Granite cardstock, then the two were intertwined and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The fern wreath shape was also cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then pieces snipped off and tucked into the wreath, adhered with Tombow Monoadhesive Glue.
- The small pumpkin from Banner Year stamp set was stamped with Pumpkin Pie, Gray Granite, then stamped-off Gray Granite Inks to get the three colors. The stem/leaf was stamped with Gray Granite Ink. They were hand cut and added to the wreath.
- The bow from Wreath Builder Dies was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the background bow from Whisper White cardstock, adhered together and added to the wreath with Mini Glue Dots.
- Three Rhinestone Jewels were added to the Pumpkins for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Welcome Fall

Happy Saturday! This week our Saturday Blog Hop them is “Welcome Fall”! Another great opportunity to use the fall sets in the Annual and Aug-Dec Mini Catalogs!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Gilded Autumn DSP was added to the left side of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock, then added to the base card.
The FALL letters were cut with the Playful Alphabet Dies, then added with Monoadhesive Glue next to the DSP.
The stitched leaves were cut from Early Espresso and Cajun Craze cardstock and two from the Gilded Autumn DSP with the Stitched Leaves Dies, then randomly adhered down the right side using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Love of Leaves was stamped with Early Espresso Ink in the center.
Some Champagne Rhinestones were added to the leaves and the Linen Thread was tied in a bow around one of the stems.

CCMC630 – Love of Leaves

Happy Thursday! Today on Create with Connie and Mary, we are celebrating this year’s In Colors! They play SO nicely together, we put ALL five of them in today’s CCMC color challenge!

I decided that Love of Leaves would be perfect to use with a different color for each leaf! Kind of a playful twist on a traditional fall card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cinnamon Cider cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Cinnamon Cider polka dot In Color Designer Paper.
The leaves were cut with the Stitched Leaves Dies from all five of the In Colors, Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight and Just Jade. Aren’t they nice and colorful? They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals in a cluster.
Thank you was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on 5/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White, then the end cut at an angle.
A trio of In Color Enamel Dots were added to the greeting and background.

SUPER simple card…the die cut leaves are doing all the work, but I LOVE the stitched look to them! Make sure to check out the rest of the Challenge Team’s designs over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Incredible Hulk

My next to youngest grandson is obsessed with super heroes and his 4th birthday party was Hulk themed! So, I recreated a Hulk card that I had found on Pinterest for his birthday card this year! I love doing punch art and used the retired Stampin’ Up Top Note Die for his head.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The head of Hulk is the Top Note Die cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock and sponged around the edges with Shaded Spruce Ink.
The hair is a partial cut of the Top Note Die that is trimmed to look like bangs.
The top of his forehead/eyebrows are retired Large Oval Punches from Shaded Spruce cardstock and sponged. The chin from Small Oval Punches, the nose from Large Oval and 1″ Circle Punch and the ears from Large Oval cut in half.
The eyebrows are are the Designer Label Punch from Basic Black cardstock with a small oval punched from the bottom.
Eyes are 1-1/2″ Circles from Whisper White and the pupils are 3/4″ Circles from Basic Black, highlights from 1/8″ Circle Punch.
The mouth is the Wide Oval punched from Whisper White, then used a Basic Black marker to make the teeth.
All pieces are put together, then popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Isn’t that fun? He really loved it! Inside I found a Hulk Font and printed the greeting.

IM141 – Hallows Night Magic

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Ohhh, we have a spooky inspiration pillow for you this week!

Hallows Night Magic

I love the simple, muted color scheme of this people and tried to recreate it with my card using Hallows Night Magic Bundle.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 3 x 5-1/4 piece of In Colors Misty Moonlight Designer Paper was add on the left side.
- A 1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of Black Glitter Paper was added on top.
- The large label in the Halloween Magic Dies is cut from Misty Moonlight cardstock, then embossed with the Cobwebs Embossing Folder. Some Metallic Mesh Ribbon was folded in half behind it. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Trick or Treat was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and added to the top of the label.
- The moon is punched with the 2″ Circle Punch from Whisper White cardstock, then lightly sponged with Soft Sea Foam ink to give it a spooky feel. It is popped up on the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The bat from Hallows Night Magic is stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the Halloween Magic Dies. It is popped up on the moon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A couple Iridescent Pearls were placed above the greeting.

This card really sparkles and shimmers with the glitter paper, the metallic mesh and the pearls! OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Flowers

Happy Saturday! This week our Saturday Blog Hop them is “Autumn Flowers”! I was excited about this challenge because I knew I wanted to make a sunflower with the Poinsettia Dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bumblebee cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, sponged around the edges with Early Espresso Ink and embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
The 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Gilded Autumn Designer Paper was added to the right side.
A 3/8 x 5-1/4 strip of Early Espresso cardstock was added across the front.
The “sunflower” was made by cutting three of the medium poinsettia with the Poinsettia Dies from Bumblebee cardstock and adhere together.
The center was cut from Early Espresso cardstock with the smallest Layering Circle Die and embossed with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder, then added to the center of the sunflower.
The three leaves were cut with the Poinsettia Dies from Old Olive cardstock and sponged with Early Espresso Ink, then tucked under the sunflower.
Two sprigs were cut from Cajun Craze cardstock and added around the leaves.
The greeting from Banner Year was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then trimmed to fit under the flower.
A trio of Bumblebee In Color Enamel Dots were added for the background.

Isn’t that a pretty sunflower? And you get more for your buck from the Poinsettia Dies by using it for a different season. CCMC629 – Poinsettia Petals

Another Thursday has rolled around! Anyone else think time is SPEEDING by? We have a fun sketch challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary today!

I knew I wanted to use the pretty Poinsettia Place Designer Paper for the focus of my card, but then wanted some stamping on it, too! I added the small poinsettia element under the greeting.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Two 1 x 5-1/4 strips of Poinsettia Place DSP Garden Green print were added on top of the base card.
A 3-1/4 x 4-5/8 piece of Bumblebee cardstock was added on top.
Three 1-3/8 x 3-1/2 pieces of the poinsettia print in Poinsettia Place DSP were spaced on the front.
The small poinsettia from Poinsettia Petals stamp set was stamped twice with Soft Suede Ink on Whisper White, then lightly colored with So Saffron Stampin’ Blends in the center. They were cut with the Poinsettia Dies. They were adhered together and added to the top left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two sprigs from the Poinsettia Dies were cut from Bumblebee cardstock and tucked under the Poinsettia.
Warm Wishes was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Tasteful Touches label die. It was added to Soft Suede cardstock and trimmed around by hand. It was tucked in the petals of the Poinsettia.
A trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added in the center of the Poinsettia for a little bling!
