CCMC626 – Merry Moose

Happy Thursday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge…a fun color challenge this week!

And…did you see? The Merry Moose stamp set and punch is back for this holiday season! I know a lot of you missed out on getting the punch last year when it sold out SO early! I’m glad they brought it back…love how easy it is to make more masculine type cards with it! This one has almost a “cabin in the woods” feel to it. Maybe because of the Buffalo Plaid background looks like a flannel shirt?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cinnamon Cider cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
A 1 x 4 strip of Mossy Meadow was added across the front towards the bottom.
A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock was stamped with the Buffalo Plaid Background Stamp with Misty Moonlight Ink. It was added to the front.
The Layering Circle was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Merry Moose in Misty Moonlight Ink.
The moose from Merry Moose was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored with Cinnamon Cider Blends and Light Soft Suede for the antlers. He was punched with the Moose Punch and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Navy Rhinestones from Holiday Rhinestones were added to the background.

Pretty much an easy card to replicate or mass produce for Christmas cards! Make it a little simpler by stamping the moose with Memento Black Ink on Cinnamon Cider cardstock and only coloring the antlers for a little contrast! Control Freaks August 2020

Hi! Welcome to the monthly Tour de Freaks, brought to you by the Control Freak Swappers! The theme this month is “In Color Highlights”! I really LOVE the newest In Colors…I couldn’t pick just one so I used a couple on this card. You’ve probably just come from the awesome Melissa Davies. I just love her work! JAR OF FLOWERS CARD

The Jar of Flowers stamp set with coordinating punch is perfect for any season, but I especially love the sunflowers! I used two new In Colors, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider on my flowers. I made this card special for my girlfriend who had a birthday this week! I also made a surprise little gift notebook for my mom. She loves to keep one in her purse.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bumblebee cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
- Two 2 x 2-1/2 pieces of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper were added crossways from each other.
- It’s Your Day from Many Mates stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Bumblebee Marker.
- The Whisper White cardstock was cut with the largest Layering Oval Die and added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The jar was stamped with Memento Black Ink and the stems with Garden Green Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Pool Party and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. It was punched with the Jar Punch and added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sunflowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Cinnamon Cider Combo Blends and Bumblebee Marker. The leaves with Granny Apple Green Combo Blends. The flowers were hand-cut, then added to the top of the jar with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the jar with a Mini Glue Dot.
- A trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added to the background.

JAR OF FLOWERS NOTEBOOK

These sweet little notebooks make an appearance in the stores around this time of year for back to school! It is a perfect size to drop in your purse. I used the same supplies and details from the card above. The back I finished with Bumblebee cardstock.

IM137 – Banner Year

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some yummy looking fall cookies!

I’ve used Banner Year again for my card! I thought the little pumpkins would work perfectly.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Plaid Tidings was added to the front.
- A 1 x 4 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was added across the front.
- The two labels were cut from Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock with the Tasteful Label Dies and adhered together, then added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two pumpkins, stem/leaves from Banner Year Stamp Set were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Inks on Whisper White, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Banner Year was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Whisper White, cut the end at an angle, then added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two Gold Glimmer Dots were added above the greeting for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Back to School

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is showing is “Back to School” for our Saturday Blog Hop! I know our schools have pushed back the starting date until the end of August…who knows if they will actually meet in person or not. Prayers going out to the administrations who are making these calls. No matter what they decide, many people will be upset. So…I think we need something cheerful to see, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper was added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A length of Pets Ribbon was adhered to the back, hiding the seam.
The 2 x 3 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added to a 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
ABC was cut from Whisper White cardstock with the Playful Alphabet and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
Welcome Back from Harvest Hellos Stamp Set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label Punch. The “chalkboard” was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The apple was punched with the Apple Builder Punch from Poppy Parade cardstock and embossed with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder (Aug-Dec catalog). The leaf was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green and punched. The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Holiday Rhinestone were added in the background.

SOOO happy with how this turned out! Love that Playful Alphabet! It says “back to school” to me! Next up on our blog hop is our Create with Connie and Mary website, then on to creative Mary Brown, or head backwards to see Brenda’s fabulous card and see what everyone did with this challenge!

CCMC625 – Autumn Goodness

Happy Thursday! Time again for the Create with Connie and Mary challenge! Another fun sketch for you to try!

I once again used my Autumn Goodness stamp set. I’m so happy that I ordered it, I’ve used it a lot more than I really expected! I guess I must be in a coloring mode right now! For this one, I featured the pumpkin cluster…I just love this image!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mint Macaron was embossed with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder for a subtle look.
A 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of striped Gilded Autumn Designer Paper was added towards the left side.
The pumpkin image from Autumn Goodness stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla and colored with Pumpkin Pie Combo, Granny Apple Green Combo, Mango Melody Combo and Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the largest Stitched Shape Circle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was placed along the bottom.
The 1/2 x 2-3/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was stamped with Thankful from Autumn Goodness in Early Espresso Ink and added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Mint Macaron Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background for a little bling!

IM136 – Banner Year

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful fall decorated frame.

One of the reasons I purchased the Banner Year stamp set was just for the Happy fall, y’all! greeting! I love it! So, I knew it was perfect for this inspiration challenge! My next challenge was finding the twiggy looking branches to decorate the frame. I think using In The Woods Dies worked great, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of wood grain print from In Good Taste DSP was layered on a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Early Espresso cardstock, then adhered on top.
- The frame was created with using two sizes of the Stitched Rectangle Dies cut from Seaside Spray cardstock, then sponging around the edges to distress the look a little. It was added on an angle to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The “trees” from the In The Woods Dies were cut from Melon Mango and Early Espresso cardstock, the leaves from Soft Sea Foam, then sponged with Early Espresso Ink to age them. They were adhered to the edge of the frame.
- The Seaside Spray Scallop Linen Ribbon was tied in a knot and added to the branches with Mini Glue Dots.
- Happy Fall y’all! and two acorns were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White. The acorns were hand cut and the banner cut at an angle, then tucked under the branches with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The acorns were added under the ribbon with Mini Glue Dots.

I love this card…I was REALLY excited how it turned out! I thought Mary and my cards would be too similar using the same inspiration piece, but they really turned out totally different! OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Hot Days of Summer

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is showing the “Hot Days of Summer” for our Saturday Blog Hop! This will be interesting to see how our Design Team interprets this theme! I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to make at first! But, I have some summer watermelon decorations on my entrance table and that reminded me of Stampin’ Up!’s Cute Fruit stamp set in the Beginner catalog! Watermelon is perfect to eat in the summer when it is hot!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Seaside Spray cardstock was embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder and added down the center.
Two 1 x 5-1/4 pieces of Plaid Tidings (in the Aug-Dec catalog) were added on the sides. I think this plaid had perfect colors for summer!
A 3/4 x 4 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added across the front.
The Tasteful Label was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the Cute Fruit greeting in Memento Black Ink.
Two watermelons were stamped with Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green Ink on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut. The seeds were colored with a Basic Black Marker. The entire melon center was covered with Wink of Stella to make them look juicy. They were added to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed on the front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Artistry Blooms Sequins were added to the front for a little bling.

Not sure why the color of the watermelons look so red…they really are a perfect match to the Melon Mambo in real life! CCMC624 – Autumn Goodness

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday…does the time seem to be flying by for anyone else? I’m amazed at how quickly the days are going for me! This week we have a fun color challenge for you to try!

I love these new In Colors and they look great combined! I pulled out the new Autumn Goodness set (from the Aug-Dec catalog) for today’s card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cinnamon Cider cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Plaid Tidings DSP was wrapped with Cinnamon Cider Ribbon and tied in a knot, then the piece added to the left side of the base card.
The 4 x 4 piece of Whisper White was cut to a point and the Just Jade “ground” was colored. The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper corner, then it was added to the front.
The wheelbarrow from Autumn Goodness was stamped with Early Espresso Ink and colored with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends, with a little Bronze for shadows. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The wheel was cut from Early Espresso cardstock with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Die. It was added with a Mini Glue Dot.
The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Bumblebee, Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider Blends. It was added to the wheelbarrow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’m really happy with how this turned out! I’m glad I went ahead and got this set…so detailed and pretty! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did over on Create with Connie and Mary this week!
