Saturday Blog Hop – Valentine Cards

Wow! First week in February! WOOHOO!!! Let the countdown to SPRING begin! Well, it does seem closer, at least. This week on Create with Connie and Mary’s Saturday blog hop, we are celebrating Valentine’s Day with Valentine cards! This will be my husband’s card this year. I’m so lucky to have found him…he is a wonderful husband, father and papa!

HEARTFELT

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder (can you tell I LOVE this folder?)
A 2 x 4 piece of Blushing Bride cardstok was added across the front and stamped with the From My Heart greeting in Heartfelt stamp set with Memento Black Ink.
The Flirty Flamingo cardstock was cut with the Detailed Hearts Die, then cut apart so only a portion was used (bonus…I have a couple other pieces I can use on other projects!). It was added to the front with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
Some extra hearts cut with the die were added around the background.
The Real Red Metallic scallop heart was punched from the From My Heart Designer Paper with the Scallop Heart Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The lacy heart was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on Whisper White cardstock and just the center heart cut out by hand.
The arrow was stamped with Real Red Ink on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut. They were layered together and added to the scallop heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small red metallic heart was punched with the Dog Punch (did you know the little heart punches the DSP perfectly?) It was added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
A From My Heart Faceted Gem was added to the arrow for a little bling.

CCMC597 – Forever Blossoms

It’s Thursday again and you know what that means…it’s Create with Connie and Mary’s Thursday challenge! We have a cool color combination for you to try!

I decided to use my Forever Blossoms stamp set because these colors are in the Parisian Blossoms Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party has been embossed with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of the script print in Parisian Blossoms Designer Paper was added down the right side.
The So Sweetly Stitched Rectangle Frame was cut from Whisper White and stamped the greeting in Forever Blossoms with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner. It was added to the front.
A 1/4 x 3 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock was added across the front of the rectangle, cutting the ends at an angle.
The top portion of the flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White and colored with Light and Dark Petal Pink, Light Cherry Cobbler and Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Cherry Blossom Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Champagne Rhinestone Jewels were added to the rectangle background.

IM108 – Bonanza Buddies

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a fun toucan balloon print!

I love the new bundle, Bonanza Buddies! I couldn’t wait to use it on this challenge, it came together SO quickly! Such CUTE little animals in this set!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pineapple Punch cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
- A 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Birthday Bonanza Designer Paper was added across the front.
- The Layered Circle was cut from Pineapple Punch cardstock and added on top.
- Let’s Celebrate You from Bonanza Buddies stamp set was stamped with Memento Black on a 3/8 x 4-3/4 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and added over the circle.
- The toucan from Birthday Buddies was stamped with Memento Black Ink and his beak colored with Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch Markers. He was cut with the Bonanza Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The birthday hat was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink and added to the head, then a red pom-pom was added at the top with Tombow Multipurpose Glue and then added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to the card.
- The balloon was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on scrap Whisper White and cut with the Bonanza Die, then the string stamped with Memento Black and hand-cut. Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A Rhinestone was added to the balloon.

Saturday Blog Hop – Achievement

Gosh! It is almost the end of January! WOOHOO! One month closer to spring! This month on Create with Connie and Mary blog hops, we are featuring “empowerment words”. Every Saturday we will have a new word that hopefully inspires the card we make. Our last week’s Saturday Blog Hop word is “ACHIEVEMENT”! Don’t we all love that feeling of achievement? Nothing quite like it! And, when we are recognized for that achievement, it is even better!

THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS

I love the stamp set and punch in the Sale-a-Bration that are available for FREE with purchase! Best time of the year! I’ve used both the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and Small Bloom Punch on today’s “Acheivement” card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Birthday Bonanza Designer Paper is cut with a flag end and placed on top.
The Scallop Rectangle of Pineapple Punch cardstock is cut with Stitched So Sweetly die and added on top.
The Thoughtful Blooms flower was stamped three times with Pineapple Punch Ink and the centers with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White and punched with the Small Bloom Punch. The leaves were stamped three times with Granny Apple Green and hand-cut. All were added to the front of the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
CongratYOUlations from Thoughtful Blooms was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/4 piece of Whisper White, cut the flag end and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Bermuda Bay Nobel Peacock Rhinestones were added to the centers of the flowers for a little bling.

CCMC596 – Lovely Lily Pad

Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s a fun sketch challenge this week…I love sketches! They make it SO easy to create a card!

This was came together ESPECIALLY easy because the Lily Impressions Designer Paper does all the work with just a little bit of stamping!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock.
The three Lily Impressions Designer Paper panels are 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 each and adhered to the Basic Black layer.
A 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Pool Party cardstock was stamped with the So Exciting greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays in Memento Black Ink and added to the front.
The lily was stamped with Lovely Lilac Ink and colored with Light & Dark Flirty Flamingo and Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends.
The Lily Pad was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink and colored with Light & Dark Granny Apple Green Blends.
All flower elements were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Maui Achievers Blog Hop – January 2020

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Maui trip! January’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!

HEARTFELT

Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I’ve switched out my Christmas displays for Valentine displays in my home! Here’s a little banner that I put together to go on a basket that sits up on my kitchen cabinets! I make different banners for different holidays.

Stampin’ Details:

The banner pieces are the second from largest Stitched Nested Label Dies cut from DSP backing board, then covered with the From My Heart Designer Paper on top using Monoadhesive Glue.
A 1/8″ hole is punched in the top of the labels.
The Large Letters of I and U were cut with the Large Letter Dies (on the Clearance Rack in the US!!! Grab them before they are gone, they are one of the BEST investments!) from Basic Black cardstock and added to the labels with Foam Strips.
Three Red Rhinestone were added to each of the letters.
For the center label, the Flirty Flamingo Heart Doily is added first.
The Scallop Heart was punched from Basic Black and added to the doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The arrow from Heartfelt Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, hand-cut and added to the Scallop Heart.
The red dotted heart and From My Heart greeting in the Heartfelt stamp set are stamped with Real Red Ink on Whisper White cardstock. It was punched with the Solid Heart Punch, then added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A From My Heart Feceted Gem is added next to the greeting for a little more bling.
The Grapefruit Grove Twine from Nature’s Twine was knotted thru the holes with some extra on the sides for tying.

IM107 – Happy Birthday to You

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some pretty fabric and crocheted flowers! Looks almost like a corsage?

I kind of struggled with this one…I did a rolled flower card not too long ago, o didn’t want to make those again. I pulled out one of the new Sale-A-Bration sets, Happy Birthday to You and followed the colors for my card!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Balmy Blue cardstock is embossed with the NEW Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder.
- A 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Birthday Bonanza Designer Paper was added down the center.
- The scallop rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly Dies was cut from Whisper White cardstock and added on front.
- The cake from Happy Birthday to You was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Light & Dark Balmy Blue, Light Night of Navy, Light & Dark Daffodil Delight and Light & Dark Soft Seafoam Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut (but February 1st you can get the Coordinating Dies!!!) and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some blue Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added to the centers.
- Celebrate was stamped with Night of Navy Ink in the upper left corner.

Control Freaks January 2020

BONANZA BUDDIES

First up is the card…love this sweet little toucan in the Bonanza Buddies stamp set and thought he would make a wonderful Valentine!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White cardstock was added on top
- A 1-3/4 x 5 piece of From My Heart Designer Paper was added down the right side.
- The 1-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added on top.
- The 1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of From My Heart Designer Paper was added on top of the Basic Black.
- Flirty Flamingo was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The toucan from Bonanza Buddies was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Bonanza Dies. The beak was colored with Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Poppy Parade Markers. He is added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The duo heart was cut from the From My Heart DSP and added to his beak.
- A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the background and heart.

Stampin’ Details:

The Flirty Flamingo Doily was added to the top of the Heart Tin (LOVE these tins…you can even BAKE in them!) They are large enough to hold 8-10 candy pieces, or a nice cupcake or browine!
The Toucan was stamped the same as above, and the heart cut from the DSP. He is added to the doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The banner from Bonanza Die was cut from Real Red cardstock and added to the tin top with Mini Glue Dots.

I love how these turned out! And they were super simple to make, but would make a great gift for Valentine treats! OK…next up on the Control Freaks Blog Hop is Melissa Stout, I know you’ll enjoy her projects, too!
