Saturday Blog Hop – National Coloring Day

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is “National Coloring Day”. Did you know there was such a day? I sure didn’t! I decided to use my Christmas #ELFIE stamp set for this blog hop! SOOOO cute!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form base card.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 stripe of the reverse side was added towards the left side.
Some Gold Tinsel Thread from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley was added around the DSP and secured in the back.
The Stitched Shape Oval was cut from Whisper White cardstock and the elf in a stocking from #ELFIE was stamped with Memento Black Ink. He was colored with Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Ivory, Light Flirty Flamingo and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The oval was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The present from #ELFIE was stamped with Memento Black ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Light Cherry Cobbler and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, then cut out and added to the oval.
A trio of gold Holiday Rhinestones were added to the background of the oval for a little bling!
A Holiday Hello was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label Punch (shortened) and added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional!

CCMC578 – Wonderfully Wicked

Happy Thursday, again! We have a fun sketch challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

I decided to pull out Stampin’ Up!’s Wonderfully Wicked stamp set and Ornate Frames for this challenge! I love that haunted house designer paper in the Monster Bash DSP package, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
A 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Monster Bash DSP was added to the background.
The 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the spider web image from Wonderfully Wicked stamp set with Gray Granite Ink.
The bat an cat were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the Whisper White with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Wicked was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Ornate Frames die.
The frame around Wicked was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock with the Ornate Frame die. It was adhere together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A crow from the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes was added to the top of the W.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the cat’s neck.

IM88 – Gather Together

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! I love this tin type art piece…not sure if it is a wall hanging or what, but great colors!

I just had to use the Gather Together Bundle again, along with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder! It was a perfect match in my mind! And, because the Squares Stitched Shapes Dies I used were symmetrical, I went with a square card shape and used the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and Copper Foil Sheet.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/2 x 9 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/2 and folded to form the square card.
- The Noble Peacock and Copper Foils were all cut with the Stitched Shapes Square Die and then embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. I made sure to line the tiles up in the exact same place on the folder so they were identical.
- I used a sanding block to distress the raised foil areas.
- They were all spaced out evenly on the front of the Crumb Cake base.
- The leaves were cut from Bermuda Bay and Cajun Craze cardstock with the Gathered Leaves Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Gather Together was stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock with Memento Black Ink and punched with the Timeless Label Punch. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added on the tag.

Saturday Blog Hop – Back to School

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is “Back to School”. I think most schools are back to school by now…or at least went back this week! Our schools have been back in session for a couple weeks now.

I think Stampin’ Up!’s Harvest Hellos is one of the cutest we’ve had in a long time! I like that the punch fits either an apple or pumpkin or jack-o-lantern! Makes it so versatile! So, for my back to school card, I wanted a notebook paper background…easy to make with the Simply Scored Tool!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form base card.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pineapple Punch cardstock.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White was placed in the Simply Scored Tool, then the Balmy Blue Marker used to make the lines in the notebook paper every 1/2 inch with 1 inch at the top. The side was scored at 3/4 ink.
A 1/4″ Hole Punch was used on the left side for the binder holes. It was adhered to the base card.
A 1/2 x 3 piece of Brights (Granny Apple Green) Designer Paper was added towards the bottom of the notebook paper.
The apple from Harvest Hellos stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with the Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. It was punched with the Apple Builder Punch and placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock and added under the apple with a Mini Glue Dot.
The leaf was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, colored with Granny Apple Green Blends, then punched with the Apple Builder Punch and added to the apple.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the base of the stem.
Welcome Back from Harvest Hellos stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock and punched with the Classic Label Punch, then added towards the top of the notebook paper.
A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the background.

CCMC577 – Band Together

It’s Thursday and you know what that means! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge This time it is a pretty color combination.

I knew right away that I wanted to use a flower set…but which one? I pulled out my Band Together Bundle because I hadn’t used it yet! I think it worked perfectly!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
Across the center is a 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Woven Threads Designer Paper.
The filigree band is cut with the Detailed Bands Die from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and placed in the background towards the left side.
The large flower and two leaf clusters were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with the Purple Posy and Pretty Peacock Light and Dark Blends. They were cut with the Detailed Bands die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Just the center of another Detailed Band was cut from Whisper White cardstock, then stamped with the greeting in Gorgeous Grape Ink. It is also popped up and tucked under the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Peacock Rhinestones was added to the background.

IM87 – Gather Together

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a beautiful wreath for fall? I love it! I have touches of this blue (Coastal Cabana?) around my home.

Here’s what I came up with…no flowers! I was tempted to go in that directions, but stuck with just using the color scheme and the great bundle, Gather Together.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder.
- The embossed leaves from Gathered Leaves Dies were cut from Bermuda Bay, Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze cardstock, then gathered and adhered on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla and cut with the oval Stitched Shapes die.
- The Braided Trim was tied in a bow and added to the side with a Mini Glue Dot.
- Two Peacock Rhinestones were added to the oval.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Holiday Stamp Sets

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is our “Favorite New Holiday Catalog Stamp Set”. Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are able to preorder from the Holiday Catalog a month early…but all customers will be able to order on September 4th!

Of course, my favorite is NO surprise to those of you who follow my blog. You KNOW I love snowman, so I had to use Stampin’ Up!’s Snowman Season for my card! AND…we have that fun new Snowfall Accents puff paint…so there is some on here, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Real Red cardstock is added on top.
On the 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Balmy Blue cardstock, a 3-1/4 wide strip of Whisper White was torn to give me a snowbank. Some Light Pool Party Blends was used for the shadow.
The top portion of the Balmy Blue was stamped with the snowflakes in Snowman Season and Whisper White Craft Ink.
The Snowfall Accents Puff Paint was dotted on the background and lined across the “snow” and then heated with the Heat Gun to make it puff! SOOO fun to watch it!
The snowman was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White and punched with the Snowman Builder Punch. His hat was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with the Light Basic Black and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The flower with Real Red and leaves with Old Olive. A gold Holiday Rhinestone was put in the center. The nose colored with Pumpkin Pie and cheeks with Flirty Flamingo Blends. They were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thee snowman arms were punched from Early Espresso cardstock.
Let it Snow was stamped with Memento Black Ink and punched with the Timeless Label Punch, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple of the red Holiday Rhinestones were added next to the greeting.

CCMC576 – Toile Christmas

It’s another Thursday rolling around and we have a fun sketch Challenge for you on Create with Connie and Mary!

I decided to use Toile Christmas…one of the stamp sets we received on the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to the Greek Isles, along with the Toile Designer Paper I also received as a pillow gift! I love cardinals…they always remind me of my Grandma. She had several little figurines of them sitting around and she loved the color red!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Toile Tidings Designer Paper was added on top.
A 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was layered on a 2-7/8 x 3-5/8 piece of Real Red cardstock and added to the front.
A 3/4 x 4 strip of the striped pattern in Toile Tidings was added across the front.
The cardinal in Toile Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Blends, with the beak in Mango Melody. It was cut with the Christmas Cardinal Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Real Red Ink on Very Vanilla c/s and cut with the die also. It was added on top of the Cardinal.
A trio of Red Rhinestone Jewels were added to the background.

Isn’t that lovely? So rich looking! I didn’t know if I was crazy about that DSP or not…but I really do like how this card turned out…and I always love stripes! Make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!
