CCMC583 – Christmas Rose

It’s Thursday and time for Create with Connie and Mary’s Thursday Challenge! It’s a color combination this week!

Although this color combination is perfect for the Peacock Suite, I decided to do something a little different with it and used the Christmas Rose stamp set! I originally thought it would be a birthday card, but I decided I’d go with Christmas instead. The Christmastime is Here Suite of products (Christmas Rose stamp set, Gold Glitter Dots and Gold Shimmer Ribbon that I used) are available to demos starting Oct 1st and customers on Nov 1st and Create with Connie and Mary has a wonderful collection of tutorials featuring it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the Christmas Rose image in both corners with Memento Black Ink.
The roses from Christmas Rose stamp set were stamped off with Bermuda Bay Ink, the leaves and pines stamped off with Old Olive Ink, and the berries stamped off with Pretty Peacock Ink. It was adhered to the base.
The greeting from Christmas Rose was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink and cut with the Nested Stitched Label Die, then added to the next largest Nested Stitched Label cut from Pretty Peacock cardstock.
The Gold Shimmer Ribbon was added between the layers of the labels.
A trio of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots were added in the background.

IM93 – Holiday Haul

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! We have a basket of Autumn colors for our inspiration today!

I fell in love with the Holiday Haul stamp set, but hadn’t inked it up yet! So…here’s my first card using it!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is4-1/4 x 11 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Pretty Peacock Gingham from the Come to Gather Designer Paper Pack.
- A 3/4 x 5 strip of Mango Melody cardstock was placed down the left side.
- The Nested Stitched Label was cut from Whisper White cardstock.
- The truck from Holiday Haul was stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink and the wheels colored with Light Basic Black Blends.
- The pumpkins/gourds were stamped with Mango Melody and the stems/leaves colored with Old Olive Light Blends.
- The Come to Gather Cajun Craze Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the pumpkins with a Mini Glue Dot.
- Time to Celebrate from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink.
- The label was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of red Holiday Rhinestones were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Cute Halloween Cards

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is “Cute Halloween Cards!” Such a fun card, even though it is a little harder to make them “cute” vs. “scary”! I thought the addition of a black cat would make mine a little less scary looking! And…the face on the pumpkin is a friendly one, right?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock is added to the base card.
A 4 x 4 piece of the Monster Bash Designer Paper was added to the left side of the bae card.
The large Nested Stitched Label was cut from Gray Granite cardstock and added to the front.
The moon was punched with the 2-1/4 Circle Punch from Daffodil Delight cardstock, sponged with Pumpkin Pie Ink around the edges and added to the label.
The cat was punched from Basic Black cardstock with the Cat Punch and green Rhinestone Eyes from the Holiday Rhinestone Package added to it. It is popped up on the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pumpkin from Harvest Hellos was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Pumpkin Pie Light & Dark and Light Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends. The face was stamped with Memento Black Ink. It was punched with the Apple Builder Punch and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The stem was punched from Early Espresso and added behind the pumpkin.
The greeting from Harvest Hellos was stamped with Memento Black Ink.

CCMC582 – Snowman Season

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s a fun sketch this week! Come play along on our Facebook page!

I’ve been playing a lot with my Snowman Season Bundle, and had many of these pieces already cut and ready to go on my desk! So my card came together pretty quickly!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Real Red cardstock.
A 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Let it Snow Designer Paper in the hat pattern was added in the background.
A 3/4 x 3 strip of the Red Stripe was placed towards the bottom.
A Nested Stitched Label was cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The snowman and hat from Snowman Season was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Basic Black, Dark Real Red, Light Shaded Spruce, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Pool Party and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. It was punched with the Snowman Builder Punch and added to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The arms were punched from Early Espresso cardstock and added with Mini Glue Dots.
Christmas Cheer from Itty Bitty Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink and punched with the Classic Label Punch.
A couple green Holiday Rhinestones were added next to the greeting.

IM92 – Gather Together

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! We have a lovely glass fusion piece for our inspiration today!

I knew I wanted to use the Gather Together Bundle and it came out pretty much like I had in my head! I love the bright yellows!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite cardstock was stamped randomly with the large leaf in Gather Together with Gray Granite Ink.
- Some Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was wrapped around the layer and tied in a bow. (I love this ribbon!) The layer was added to the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Gather Together was stamped with Gray Granite Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Everyday Label Punch, it was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The three sizes of embossed leaves from the Gathered Leaves Dies were cut from Pineapple Punch and Mango Medley cardstocks, then sponged with Mango Medley Ink. They are tucked around the greeting.
- To finish, a trio of the new Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (part of the Christmastime is Here Suite of products) was added in the background. LOVE them!

Saturday Blog Hop – World Card Making Day

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is “World Card Making Day!” We asked our Design Team to use Nature’s Beauty stamp set if they have it. When purchasing this stamp set, Stampin’ Up! donates $3 of each set sold to the Mental Health Association in our area! A great fundraiser for a great cause! Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock was added on top.
A 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Toile Tidings Designer Paper (NOT just for Christmas!) was added to the left side. This botanical nature print makes great masculine cards!
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Early Espresso cardstock was wrapped with Linen Thread, then tied with a bow and added across the front.
The deer from Nature’s Beauty was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla and cut with the Nested Stitched Label Die. It was colored with Light & Dark Crumb Cake Blends. The ground was watercolored with Garden Green Ink. (Wish we had the Blends in EVERY color…wouldn’t that be cool!) The grass was stamped full strength with Garden Green Ink. It is added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting is from Gather Together stamp set and stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, then cut with the smaller Nested Stitched Label Die, and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC581 – Most Wonderful Time

Happy Thursday!!! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It’s a fun color challenge this week!

These colors look “frosty” to me…so I went with the Most Wonderful Time stamp set again this week for my card! If you haven’t checked out this Most Wonderful Time Product Medley, you really should!!! LOTS of awesome goodies in this kit! I know…trees aren’t normally “navy”, but when we are being creative, they can be any color, right???

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Seaside Spray cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was cut with the Stitched Rectangle die.
The greeting was stamped with Night of Navy Ink at the bottom of the Whisper White panel. It was popped up on the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Inside the rectangle, the stars were stamped with Delicata Silvery Shimmer Ink randomly.
A 1 x 3 strip of Whisper White cardstock was torn across the top and then added inside the window for a snow bank.
The tree was stamped with Delicata Silvery Shimmer Ink on Night of Navy cardstock, then cut with the Most Wonderful Time Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The star was cut from Gray Granite cardstock, then sponged with Delicata Silvery Shimmer Ink on the raised areas. It was added to the top of the tree with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
Three Peacock Rhinestones were added to the star and background frame!

IM91 – Rustic Retreat

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a great color combination?

I knew I wanted to create a background of leaves, but didn’t want to use Gather Together AGAIN…lol! I found a die that I liked in the In The Woods Die set that was perfect! I also wanted the greeting to be the focus, so grabbed Rustic Retreat for this quote!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
- On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Very Vanilla, the leaf die from In the Woods was cut several times from Gold Metallic, Soft Seafoam, Mossy Meadow and Gray Granite cardstocks, then adhered randomly for the background with Monoadhesive Glue.
- The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Gray Granite cardstock and cut with the oval from Stitched Shapes. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of gold Metallic Pearls were added to the oval.

Funny that this card gave me fits putting together…it was torn apart SEVERAL times until I was satisfied with the balance!
