Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas Favors

Happy Saturday! This week’s blog hop theme is “Christmas Favors”. This week’s theme is another one of my favorites because I love getting new ideas that I can use for small gifts for neighbors and friends! I picked up these cute little “Berry Pretty” Christmas lotions on sale at Ulta because of the Blackberry Bliss color, and created this little box to hold them! A bonus is that the lotion smells REALLY good!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is TWO 2-3/4 x 8-1/2 piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock.
- With 8-1/2″ at top of Simply Scored Tool, score at 2″ on both pieces.
- Overlap and adhere the scored pieces to form the bottom of the box sleeve.

The lotion holder is 2-3/4 x 3 Blackberry Bliss.
- With the 3″ at the top of the Simply Scored, score at 1/2 and 2-1/2.
- Punch a 1-1/2″ Circle in the center (or the size of your lotion cap).
- Add Tear & Tape to each tab, then line up edges with the score lines on the base sleeves.
- Place lotion inside and secure in place with a small piece of Tear & Tape on the back.

Add 2-1/2 x 6 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper to the front sleeve (line up at top, it will be slightly short but the greeting will hide it.)
- Punch a 1/4″ hole at the top thru both sleeve layers.
Tie 16″ of Snowflake Splendor Shimmer Ribbon in a bow to hold the sleeves closed
Poinsettia:
- Cut/Emboss three sizes of petals from Melon Mambo cardstock with Poinsettia Dies, adhere together with Mini Glue Dots. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp two large and two small leaves from Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set with Mossy Meadow Ink, cut with Poinsettia Dies, adhere under poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp two seed pods from Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set with Blackberry Bliss Ink, color the seed head with Melon Mambo Blends, cut with Poinsettia Dies, then tuck under poinsettia.
- Cut two sprigs from Brushed Metallic Gold Paper with Poinsettia Dies, tuck under poinsettia on top of leaves.
- Add a Beaded Pearl to the center.
Stamp Warm Wishes greeting from Poinsettia Petals stamp set with Blackberry Bliss Ink on 3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Melon Mambo cardstock, adhere at the bottom.

CCMC642 – Tag Buffet

It’s Thursday again…the days really roll around quickly, especially this time of year! Create with Connie and Mary has a great color combination for you to try this week! It’s perfect for Christmas!

Here’s my card using Stampin’ Up!’s Tag Buffet Stamp Set. This set will be retiring…AND the coordinating Tag Buffet Project Kit is currently 50% off! While supplies last.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
Three 1 x 4 pieces of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper in different patterns were added towards the left on the front.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Tag Buffet in Mossy Meadow Ink, then layered on a 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock. It was added across the front.
A 2″ Circle was punched from Whisper White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The ornament was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Real Red Combo, Light Gray Granite, Dark Old Olive, Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. It was cut out and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two leaf branches were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink and colored with Pear Pizzazz Marker. They were hand-cut and tucked behind the top of the ornament.
Some 1/8 Red/Gold Ribbon was tied in a bow and added to the top of the ornament.
A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the ornament for a little bling!

IM153 – In The Pines

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! I love this neutral wreath…so much texture in it!

IN THE PINES

Stampin’ Up!’s In The Pines Bundle was the first thing that came to my mind! I was late getting this bundle…but I’m SO happy that I did! It makes quick and easy, yet gorgeous cards! TIP: Use Soft Suede Ink for a faux look of gold embossing!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Suede cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, then added to the card.
- A Layering Circle cut from Soft Suede was added to the front with the snowbank from Pine Woods Dies cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and added to the bottom of the circle, then cut the circle again.
- One of the tall skinny trees was cut with the Pine Woods Die from Soft Suede cardstock.
- The tall skinny tree and four small trees were stamped with Soft Suede Ink, then cut with the Pine Woods Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals, along with the sold Soft Suede one
- Two sprigs were punched with the Sprig Punch from Early Espresso cardstock, then added to the bottom of the circle with Mini Glue Dots.
- The Embroidered Ribbon was tied in a bow and added to the sprigs with Mini Glue Dots.
- Finally, a trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added in the background!

Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas Gift Card Holders

Happy Saturday! This week’s blog hop theme is “Christmas Gift Card Holders”. I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with for this one! I do have several people I give gift cards to and I like to dress them up a little! Since my wrapping is almost always snowman or snowflake themed (along with my Christmas cards!), I went with a snowman gift card holder, too! Isn’t he CUTE?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4 x 10-3/4 Basic Black cardstock.
- With 10-3/4″ at top, score at 1-1/2 and 5-1/2
- With 4″ at top of Simply Scored, score at 1/2 and 3-1/2 from top to second score line ** DO NOT SCORE THE 1-1/2″ hat brim portion on each side
Cut away the long side tabs, clip the tabs, and round the top and bottom with the Detailed Trio Punch.

Fold as shown. Add Tombow Monoadhesive to the side tabs and fold in, then under hat brim to secure.

For gift card insert, cut Heartwarming Hugs DSP to 2-3/4 x 6-1/4
- With 6-1/4 at top, score at 1-1/2, fold flap up.
- The insert will slide into the snowman base holding the gift card.

Decorate:

Face: 2-1/4 x 2-3/4 Whisper White cardstock, emboss with Winter Snow Embossing Folder, add to base.
Eyes: 2 small buttons from All Dressed Up Dies cut from Basic Black cardstock, add to face with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Nose: 3/4 x 1-1/2, cut a triangle and add to face with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Hat trim: 1/2 x 4 Heartwarming Hugs striped DSP, adhere to hat brim
Whisper White c/s: 3 x 3, stamp holly leaves from Christmas Gleaming stamp set with Memento Black Ink, color with Old Olive and Real Red Stampin’ Blends, hand-cut. Stamp greeting with Old Olive Ink, hand-cut. Adhere both to hat brim with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Add Wink of Stella to holly.

CCMC641 – Sounds of the Season

Happy Thursday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. I love today’s sketch!

I tried, I REALLY tried, but I’m weak. I just HAD to get the Sounds of the Season Dies with those gorgeous bells! I couldn’t resist, even though they are late to the party!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Real Red cardstock was embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and adhered to the front.
A 3/4 x 4-3/4 piece of Tis the Season Designer Paper was added to the right side.
The three sizes of bells from Sounds of the Season Dies were cut from Brushed Gold Metallic Paper and the bands across them from Brushed Copper Metallic. I love that detail! They were colored with the Dark Shaded Spruce and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Gold Twine from Forever Greenery Ribbon Pack ties the two top bells together in a bow.
The ferns from the Sounds of the Season Dies were cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock and tucked at the top of the bells.
Celebrate the Season from Itty Bitty Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Shaded Spruce, the end cut at an angle, and tucked around the bells with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Red Rhinestones were added for the holly berries on the bells!

IM152 – Have a Hoot

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! I love this vintage print…could be a picture or maybe a vintage card? So cute!

HAVE A HOOT

Stampin’ Up!’s Have a Hoot stamp set was just PERFECT for my inspiration card! I love the two owls under the mistletoe image!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock was embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, then sponged the highlights with White Craft Ink.
- A 2 x 4-3/4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper had two corners rounded with the Trio Corner Punch.
- A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Garden Green cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Have a Hoot in Memento Black In and added to the front.
- The owl couple from Have a Hoot was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with Gray Granite Combo, Light Mango Melody, Light Real Red, Dark Pool Party, Bronze and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. It was cut out with the Stitched Shapes Oval and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The branches from the Peek A Hoot Dies were cut from Silver Glimmer Paper and tucked under the oval.
- A trio of Adhesive Backed Snowflakes were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas Beauty

Happy Saturday! This week’s blog hop theme is “Christmas Beauty”! You know, one of those over-the-top, make-only-one, type of cards! I find shaker cards to be very fussy to make…but I wanted to try one with the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and So Many Snowflakes dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Just Jade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was embossed wit the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, then cut with the label from So Many Snowflakes Dies in the center.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Window Sheet was adhered to the back of the Whisper White.
Foam Adhesive Strips were arranged around the opening on the back, then filled with the Snowflake Sequins (and a little bit of White Chunky Glitter that I had).
A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper was placed over the back to trap in the sequins.
The three sizes of snowflakes were cut from Whisper White and Just Jade, adhered together with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, then placed on the front with more Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Blue Gilded Gems were added to the centers.
Snowflake wishes greeting was stamped with Just Jade Ink on a 3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White, the end cut at an angle, then tucked under the snowflake and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC640 – Itty Bitty Christmas

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Please have a SAFE holiday both for health and travel!

Time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge…this time a fun color combination!

I’ve been wanting to cut out some of the cute little houses in the Trimming the Town Designer Paper and figured this would be the perfect time! The only stamping on this card is the greeting!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 4 piece of Trimming the Town DSP was added to the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
Some Metallic Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White layer and tied, then added to the base card.
Old Olive cardstock was cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The snowflake print from Trimming the Town DSP was cut with the smaller Stitched Rectangle Die. Some Whisper White was cut with the curvy die for the snowbank and added to the DSP.
The three houses were cut from the DSP and added to the snow with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Holidays from Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink.
A trio of Rhinestones were added to the background.
