CCMC644 – Simply Succulents

It’s Thursday…the LAST Thursday of the year AND New Year’s Eve! Are you doing anything special tonight? Not us…we’ll watch the ball drop from our couch! We do have a fun color combination for you to try this week!

I used the new Simply Succulents Stamp Set and dies on my card again this week! When I saw the front of the stamp case, I imagined that it was a topiary of succulents! So, that is what I set out to create!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Boho Indigo Designer Paper (I love the navy prints in here!).
A 1/2 x 4 piece of Balmy Blue cardstock was added across the front.
The pot and succulents were stamped on a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock and colored with Night of Navy Combo, Balmy Blue Combo and Highland Heather Combo Stampin’ Blends. The topiary stems were hand-drawn with the Night of Navy Marker.
The Whisper White panel was layered on a 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Highland Heather cardstock,, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thanks was stamped on scrap Whisper White and cut with the Potted Succulent Dies. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Navy Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background.

IM156 – Snowflake Wishes

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This is a fun balloon and snowflake décor piece, isn’t it? So cute and unusual for a winter display!

SNOWFLAKE WISHES

I had a little trouble deciding which pinks to use on my card for this challenge! I ended up with Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride. Kind of an unusual combination, but I do like how this turned out!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blushing Bride cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.
- Some Metallic Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White and tied in a knot on the left side.
- All three sizes of the Stitched Shapes circles were cut from Melon Mambo cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The snowflakes were cut from Whisper White and Blushing Bride cardstock with the So Many Snowflakes Dies, then added with Mini Glue Dots around the circles.
- Snowflake Wishes from the stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and hand cut around the letters. It was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some Elegant Facet Gems were added to the centers of the snowflakes.

Maui Achievers Blog Hop – December 2020

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve both Maui trips that will be held in May 2021 (hopefully!) December’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!

SNOWMAN SEASON AND WARM HUGS

I should know better by now…I’ve been married for 41 years! Early in December, I ask my husband if he needs me to make gifts for any of his co-workers or reports, and he says no. Then the week before Christmas, he decides that, yes, he does need “just a few gifts”, and I’m scrambling! It isn’t as if they are expensive…just more of a Thinking of You at Christmas type gift. This year I decided to use the Mini Coffee Carriers we have in the Mini Catalog (they are 50% off now!) I also made one for my UPS driver and my Nail Tech.

I used a combination of stamps and dies. Inside the decorated Mini Coffee Cup are some Lindt chocolates and a gift card. The other side holds a Bailey’s Mini Irish Cream bottle.

Stampin’ Details:

The outside of the Mini Coffee Carrier is covered with Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper (SO happy this will carry over…I love the small prints!)
The snowman from Snowman Season is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with Light Basic Black, Dark Real Red, Light Shaded Spruce, Light Pool Party and Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends. He was punched with the Snowman Builder Punch.
The holly leaves from Poinsettia Dies were cut/embossed from Old Olive and Mossy Meadow cardstock and added in the background.
The snowflakes from So Many Snowflakes Dies were cut from Whisper White cardstock.
The stitched circle was cut from Real Red cardstock with the Warm Wrap Dies
The octagon from Warm Hugs was stamped with Real Red Ink and cut with the dies, and the greeting stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on Pear Pizzazz and cut with the Layered Circles Dies. They were adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A Red Rhinestone Jewel was added next to the greeting.
The 3/8″ Real Red Sheer Ribbon was looped and added behind the greeting circles.
For the lid of the Mini Coffee Cup, I used the same cardstock and ink colors and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the top. There is a Red Rhinestone on top of the Christmas tree.
The Mini Coffee Cup wrap is cut from Heartwarming Hugs DSP and Real Red cardstock with the Wrap Dies..
The Bailey’s Irish Cream is placed in a Mosaic Cello Bag and tied with the Real Red Sheer Ribbon.
The top of the Mini Coffee Carrier is dressed up with some Metallic Mesh, tied with 3/8 Mossy Meadow Striped Ribbon.

I hope they like their little gift! I know my UPS driver really loved his…I’m sure he could use a nice cup of coffee or milk with Bailey’s after a full day of delivering packages! Make sure to grab these products while they are available…many are available at CLEARANCE prices!

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Aren’t these whimsical snowman cookies just the cutest? I love the colors!

SNOWMAN SEASON

I hadn’t pulled out my Snowman Season stamp set at ALL this year! I guess I used it so much last year that I was avoiding it! But, I just had to give it a little love this year! I also love how stamping some snowflakes on this year’s Snowflake Splendor DSP can make it look SO different!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP was stamped with the snowflake trio from Snowman Season Stamp Set in Highland Heather Ink randomly in the background. It was adhered to the front.
- The snowman from Snowman Season was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Highland Heather and Bermuda Bay and Light Pool Party Blends. The cheeks are Light Flirty Flamingo and the tree with Shaded Spruce Blends. It was cut with the Celebration Labels Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Let it Snow was stamped on a 1 x 3 piece of Purple Posy cardstock with Memento Black Ink, cut a flag end, then tucked under the label.
- A 1/4 x 1 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock was tucked under the end of the greeting.
- Two of the smaller snowflakes from So Many Snowflakes Dies were cut from Whisper White and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.
- A trio of Holiday Rhinestones were added to the centers and greeting for a little bling!

I knew immediately what I wanted to use…Snowflake Wishes and the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper! You’ve probably just come from the awesome Melissa Davies! I just love her work! SNOWFLAKE WISHES & LITTLE TREATS

Isn’t this a fun little gift to give someone? I placed a couple packages of the Christmas Rolo candies inside the Little Treats favor, but money tucked inside would work, right? I’m going to miss that Little Treats Die…make sure to grab it before it retires…it is even on SALE right now!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was cut with the So Many Snowflakes large die. At the bottom, the greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink.
- Some small snowflakes from Snowflake Wishes were stamped with stamped off Balmy Blue Ink in the upper left and lower right corners.
- Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper was cut 3-3/4 x 3-3/4, then adhered behind the cut out snowflake with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attached to the front of the card.
- Some Flowers for Every Season twine was adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the center of the snowflake
- I punched some Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper with the Label Me Fancy Punch and added that on top of the twine.
- A smaller snowflake was cut from Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and attached to the Label with a Mini Glue Dot.
- In the center is a Blue Gilded Gem and a couple small ones in the background to finish it off.

This DEFINITELY qualifies as sparkly! I love how it turned out! I wanted to make a coordinating favor, so grabbed the Little Treat Die.

The Little Treat Die Box was cut from Misty Moonlight cardstock and assembled.
A 1-1/4 x 6 piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP was wrapped around and adhered in the front.
Some Flowers For All Season Twine was added to the front of the DSP with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The scallop circle from the Little Treat Dies was cut from Whisper White and added to the front.
A little snowflake was cut from Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and added to the center of the circle.
The Little Treat greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Whisper White, then hand-cut and angled end. It was added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
The top was closed with some Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon, tied with some Flowers for a Season Twine that also sparkles with some Silver thread wound thru it!
Finally, another Blue Gilded Gem was added to the center of the snowflake.

The card and treat box came together so quickly! LOVE that! OK…next up on the Control Freaks Blog Hop is the fabulous Debbie Henderson. I know you’ll enjoy her projects, too!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Christmas Set

Happy Saturday and MERRY CHRISTMAS! This week’s blog hop theme is “Favorite Christmas Stamp Set”. Time is running out to use those Christmas stamps this year! What was YOUR favorite Christmas stamp set? This week’s theme and blog hop will run TWO WEEKS so that our Design Team can enjoy the holiday season!

SNOW WONDER

I have loved a BUNCH of the stamp sets and bundles in this latest Mini Catalog! But, I think the one I’ve used the most is Snow Wonder. I even used it on my Christmas cards this year! The snowman is SO realistic, and I thought it looked perfect sitting in front of the scenery in the Feels Like Frost Designer Paper. I always have a hard time using these photo generated DSPs, but I think this card turned out great!

Stampin’ Details:

The base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, score at 4-1/4 and folded.
The Feels Like Frost DSP was cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and layered on top.
The snowman was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Snow Time Dies. He was colored with Light Balmy Blue, Dark Real Red, Light Shaded Spruce, Light Basic Black Stampin’ and Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was inked with the Real Red Marker and stamped on Whisper White, then cut with the label in the Snow Time Dies. Snowflakes were inked with Balmy Blue and stamped off in the background. It was added on front.
To finish, a trio of blue Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background.

Really, the DSP does almost all the work on this card! This DSP reminds me of looking out over the trees and snow in the backyard with the full moon the other night! It was SO gorgeous and that moon was SO bright!

Here’s a photo of my backyard. We ended up getting a few more inches of snow on top of this, so it was really pretty!

Happy Thursday! Wow! It’s almost Christmas, isn’t it? Are you ready? I think I am! Anyway…this time our Create with Connie and Mary Thursday will run for TWO WEEKS because of Christmas next week! We will see you back here on New Year’s Eve for another challenge! This week we have an awesome sketch for you to try!

I just HAD to pull out one of the upcoming sets from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog called Simply Succulents and use it with this sketch!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 Just Jade layer is embossed with the new Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
Two 2″ circles were punched from the Flowers & Fields Designer Paper (SAB) and added to the background
The succulent image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3 x 3-3/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Dark Pool Party, Just Jade Combo, Light Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green Combo, Perfect Posy Combo and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the front
The greeting from Simply Succulent was stamped with Memento Black on 3/4 x 2 piece of Perfect Posy cardstock, then add it to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Holiday Rhinestones were added to the front.

IM154 – Poinsettia Petals

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! Isn’t this a GORGEOUS poinsettia cake?

POINSETTIA PETALS

No surprise that Mary and my cards were VERY similar since we just HAD to use Poinsettia Petals Bundle on our cards!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is added on top.
- Four 1 x 2-1/2 strips of Whisper White cardstock were added across the bottom half of the Whisper White layer.
- A 1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Brushed Metallic Gold was added across to hide the seams.
- Three leaves were embossed/cut with the Poinsettia Dies from Shaded Spruce cardstock, then sponged with Shaded Spruce Ink and added to the front.
- Two sprigs were cut with the Dies from Real Red cardstock and adhere on top of the leaves.
- The Vanilla/Gold Metallic Ribbon was looped on each end, then adhered on the front.
- The three sizes of poinsettia petals were embossed/cut with the Poinsettia Dies, then adhered together, the petals slightly bent. It was added to the front over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A Beaded Pearl was added to the center of the Poinsettia.
