Saturday Blog Hop – Nothing but Neutrals

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme is “Nothing But Neutrals”! We use neutrals all the time on cards…but can we do an entire card with nothing BUT neutrals? Let’s see what our Design Team did!

WONDERFUL ROMANCE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Gray cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, 1 x 4 panels of Basic Black, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Gray Granite were added across the front in a paint swatch effect.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Wonderful Floral circle shape and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The large floral image from Wonderful Romance was stamped with Memento Black, then watercolored with Basic Gray, Gray Granite and Basic Black Markers. It was cut with the Wonderful Floral Framelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals around the circle.
A couple leaves were cut from Basic Black and a couple from Smoky Slate cardstock and tucked under the large floral and circle.
Black Faceted Gems were added to the center of the flowers.
Wink of Stella was added to the flowers, too.
Basic Black Baker’s Twine was tied around the stems in a bow.

CCMC552 – Tea Together

Happy Thursday! Time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge…this time a fabulous sketch!

I decided to use the Tea Together stamp set and Tea Time Framelits on my card today. Did you know you can get the Tea Time Framelits FREE during Sale-A-Bration?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Granny Apple Green cardstock scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder and added to the base card.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Gingham DSP was added across the front.
Then a 1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock was added on top of the DSP.
The teapot was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on Bermuda Bay cardstock and cut with the Tea Time Framelits
The Mother’s Day greeting was stamped in the center with Memento Black Ink, then the teapot added to the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two rose clusters were stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on scrap Whisper White, then colored with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends. They were cut with the Tea Time Framelits. One was added on top of the teapot and the other under the handle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Wonderful Romance

Woohoo! I had time to do another challenge this week! I was so excited to see the Freshly Made Sketches for this week.

WONDERFUL ROMANCE

Here’s what I came up with using the Wonderful Romance stamp set and Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper (FREE Level 1 Sale-a-bration!) If you don’t have this paper, you need to GRAB it before the end of the month! I’ve punched out the butterflies on one of the sheets and have a container full of them already to “land” on my cards! lol! SO easy!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Grapefruit Grove cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sahara Sand, embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of the black stripe from Botanical Butterfly DSP was added across the front.
The greeting from Wonderful Romance was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the label in the Wonderful Floral Framelits. It was adhered slightly under the DSP.
The leaves were stamped twice on Whisper White, colored with the Dark & Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Wonderful Floral Framelits and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The butterfly was punched with the Butterfly Duet Punch from the Botanical Butterfly DSP and added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Pearls were added to the body of the butterfly for a little bling!

LOVE it!!! SO happy with how it turned out!

IM62 – Lovely Lattice

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! I’m not sure exactly what these are…maybe cupcakes or pincushions? They certainly are pretty, though, and a wonderful inspiration!

LOVELY LATTICE

I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to use my Lovely Lattice SAB stamp set…I love coloring these pretty flowers! The lattice reminds me of the doily look in the inspiration photo. And, the beautiful Country Floral Embossing Folder (also a free SAB product!) just gives it the right amount of texture! The silver metallic pearls in the center of the flowers are also a tribute to the metallic pearls in the photo.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 Mint Macaron cardstock is embossed with the Country Floral Embossing Folder.
Two strips of Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon were wrapped around to the back of the Mint Macaron and secured, then added on top of the base card.
The Lovely Lattice stamp was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
The image was colored with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
Silver Metallic Pearls were added to the centers of the flowers.
Happy Mother’s Day from Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Mint Macaron cardstock and cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelit, then adhered across the top.

Saturday Blog Hop – Shades of Green

Happy Saturday! Since we are getting close to St. Patrick’s Day, we thought it would be fun to do our theme with “Shades of Green” cards! Stampin’ Up! has SO many wonderful greens…what did I design team use? I pulled out Amazing Life again…I’ve only used the four-leaf clover and Good Luck greeting in this set so far…need to use a few of the other images! lol!

AMAZING LIFE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On a 3-1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock, the four-leaf clover image from Amazing Life was stamped with Memento Black Ink randomly multiple times. The clovers were colored with Soft Seafoam, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends (both dark and light). It was adhered to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
Lemon Lime Twist Organdy Ribbon (SAB item) was wrapped around the seam and tied in a bow.
Good Luck from Amazing Life was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with the Blends in an Ombre effect with darker bottom to lighter top.
Two Glitter Dots were added next to the greeting.

It took a little while to color all those four-leaf clovers, but I love how it turned out! Now, continue the blog hop to see what our Design Team did with the Shades of Green Challenge this week! Another Best Bunny!

Yep! Another Best Bunny card! AND…I did another Freshly Made Sketches (FMS378) challenge!

Since Best Bunny is STILL on my desk from working on the tutorials for the Create with Connie and Mary Best Bunny Treat Box Collection, I just had to use it. I especially LOVE this tiny bunny stamp!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock (I have GOT to remember to buy more of this before it retires!)
On top the Whisper White cardstock is cut with the next to largest Stitched Rectangle Framelit measuring 3-3/8 x 4-3/4.
A 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Gingham Designer Paper (Lemon Lime Twist) is added to the front.
Welcome Little One greeting from Best Bunny is stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.
The three bunnies were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch. They were colored with Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
Each bunny circle was added to the corresponding 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle punches and then popped up on the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some iridescent Twinkle stars were added in the background for a little bling.

Ahhh, such sweet little bunnies in the “peeps” colors! LOVE them!

CCMC551 – Painted Seasons

Happy Thursday! Time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge…a beautiful color combination! Painted Seasons is really becoming one of my FAVORITE stamp sets…so easy to get beautiful images with the “disINKctive” style of stamps!

My card today has a SURPRISE, too! It’s a gift card holder and card combination!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Floral Romance Designer Paper was added across the front.
A 1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Fresh Fig cardstock was added across the DSP.
A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock was scored at 1/4 on three sides.
The unscored side has a 1″ half circle punched out for the pull-out.
The 1/4″ flaps were folded under and adhered to the base card.
Two of the Painted Seasons flowers were inked with Petal Pink Ink, then Fresh Fig sponged on top in the center, then stamped on scrap Whisper White cardstock. They were cut out with the Four Seasons Framelits. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The three leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on Mossy Meadow cardstock and cut with the Four Seasons Framelits. They were adhered under the flowers.
It’s Your Day from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Fresh Fig Ink on the card holder.
Some Fresh Fig Mini Ruffled Ribbon was wrapped around the gift card, then tied with White Baker’s Twine to hold the card tightly.
Once you pull on the ends of the ribbon, the gift card slides out!

Best Bunny Again!

I really am pushing for Spring to get here…unfortunately we just got 4 inches of snow on Sunday and it is cold again! My mind says once March gets here, it should get WARM! lol! Doesn’t help that Mary and I just finished the DARLING little Treat Boxes for the newest Create with Connie and Mary Best Bunny Treat Box Collection of tutorials! I’m wanting Easter to get here so I can give them to my grandkids!

The Paper Players has a Spring Fever Theme PP431 Challenge this week, so I’m submitting this Best Bunny card for that.

I love the little top hat image that comes in the Best Bunny stamp set. I coordinated with the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Paper, which is what we used for the Best Bunny Treat Tutorial Collection. So now you have a coordinating card idea to give for Easter!

Stampin’ details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Smoky Slate cardstock.
A 2 x 5 piece of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Paper was added towards the left side.
The largest Stitched Shape Square Framelit was cut from Pool Party cardstock and added to the front.
The largest swirl in Swirly Scribbles was cut from Whisper White and added to the stitched square.
The hat was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic Gray cardstock, the band colored with Pool Party Blends. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink, colored with Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo Blends, then punched with the Bunny Builder Punch.
The little flower was punched from Petal Pink cardstock with the Bitty Blooms Punch and crumpled, the leaf punched from Mint Macaron cardstock. They were added to her ear with a Mini Glue Dot and the center with a Red Rhinestone Jewel. The bunny was also added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
To finish, a trio of Twinkle stars were added to the background for a little bling!

Isn’t she SWEET? I think this one will go to my grand-daughter!
