CCMC605 – Forever Blossoms

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! This week we have a pretty color combination. I knew right away that I wanted to use flowers…it is spring, right? I was pleasantly surprised how fast winter went by this year! Of course, it helped that I spent a little time with my girlfriend, Annette, who lives in Florida! lol!

Here’s what I did with the color challenge using Forever Blossoms stamp set, Cherry Blossom Dies, and Stitched So Sweetly Dies! I sure hope these Stitched So Sweetly dies are in the new annual catalog…I’m using them ALL the time!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it a 3D look.
A 2-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Birthday Bonanza DSP was added to the background towards the right side.
A 1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock was added on top.
The largest label in Stitched So Sweetly Dies was cut from Grapefruit Grove cardstock.
The Happy Birthday greeting from Peaceful Moments was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the next smaller label in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. They were both added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The large flower stem and single flower from Forever Blossoms stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the Cherry Blossom Dies.
The bottom portion of the large floral image was cut off and all flowers colored with Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Grapefruit Grove Ink Refills and AquaPainter. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were added to the flower centers and label.

March 2020 Maui Achievers Blog Hop

It’s SPRING and our weather in Ohio is finally warming up! A few little crocuses have popped their heads up through the ground, so I was inspired by their bright colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with another FREE SAB product, the Stone Embossing Folder.
The Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White and tied in a bow, then added to the base card.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Flowering Foils Designer Paper (yep…another FREE selection!) was colored with Light & Dark Granny Apple Green Blends, then added to a 2 x 5-1/2 piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
The flowers from Thoughtful Blooms stamp set were stamped with Daffodil Delight and Gorgeous Grape Inks on scrap Whisper White, then punched with the Small Bloom Punch and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the center are some Nobel Peacock small Rhinestone jewels.
Thank You from Thoughtful Blooms was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink on scrap Whisper White and punched with the 1″ Circle Punch, then layered on the 1-1/8 Scallop Circle Punch punched from Gorgeous Grape cardstock, then added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Another Nobel Peacock Rhinestone was added on top.

IM116 – Timeless Tropical

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a fun floral headpiece!

It looked like flowers you’d find in Hawaii to me, so I pulled out Timeless Tropical stamp set for my card.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was stamped with the speckle stamp in Beauty Abounds in the upper left and lower right corners.
- The flowers were stamped with Versamark on Shimmer White cardstock, then embossed with White Embossing Powders.
- I spritzed the cardstock with water, then used an AquaPainter and Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Shaded Spruce and Old Olive Ink Refills to give the watercolor look to the flowers. They were cut out with the In The Tropics Dies.
- The top of the Pineapple and two of the small ferns were cut with the Dies from Shaded Spruce cardstock.
- The greeting was stamped with Shaded Spruce on Whisper White and punched with the Label Me Fancy Punch.
- Everything was added to the Crumb Cake llayer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The centers of the flowers were cut with the Die from Daffodil Delight cardstock, then added with Mini Glue Dots.
- Some red Holiday Rhinestones (still available!) were added to the centers and one green one to the pineapple top.

Love how colorful the flowers are, and it is such a FUN technique using embossing and watercoloring! OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Let’s Get Away

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is Let’s Get Away…cards with a travel theme! Since it is still cold here in Ohio, I could use a little getaway! I’ve had this cute little set for a while, but hadn’t used it…thought it was perfect to pull out and use for this challenge! Follow my bliss? That would be to a warm, tropical place every winter!

ON TO ADVENTURE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Tropical Oasis Designer Paper is added down the center.
A 2 x 3-3/8 piece of Crumb Cake is torn across the top diagonally, then embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. It is layered on a 3-1/4 x 3-3/8 piece of Pool Party cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting is stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper right corner.
The lady from On To Adventure was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with Light & Dark Mango Melody, Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light Poppy Parade, Light & Dark Crumb Cake, Light Petal Pink, Light Basic Black and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. She was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The palm trees from Timeless Tropical were inked with Early Espresso, Old Olive and Shaded Spruce Markers, then stamped on Whisper White. It was cut with the In The Tropics Dies and added to the front.
A trio of Holiday Rhinestones (carryover list) were added to the background.

Happy Thursday everyone!!! This week on Create with Connie and Mary’s Thursday Challenge, we have a fun sketch for you to try!

I used a new set for me…Stampin’ Up!’s On To Adventure! I love the little characters in this set…

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top, the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sahara Sand cardstock is embossed with the Argyle Embossing Folder.
The 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 golf flag print from Country Club Designer Paper was a perfect match and added to the front.
A 3/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Night of Navy was adhered across the front.
The Stitched Rectangle was cut with the Die from Whisper White cardstock. It was stamped with the golf guy from On To Adventure in Memento Black Ink and colored with Light & Dark Mint Macaron, Light & Dark Night of Navy, Light Petal Pink, Light Flirty Flamingo, Dark Crumb Cake, and Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
The rectangle is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM115 – Tags in Bloom

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is this beautiful necklace! Not really a style I’d wear, but I do like the colors, so that is what I used for my card.

One of Stampin’ Up!’s second release free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets is Tags in Bloom, so I used it for my card, along with Lily Impressions Designer Paper, which is another FREE Sale-A-Bration product!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is added next.
- Three 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 pieces of Lily Impressions Designer Paper was added on front (doesn’t that look like the marbled look on the necklace?)
- A 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Gold Glimmer Paper was added across the center.
- The Tags in Bloom floral tag image was stamped with Versamark on Whisper White, then hand-cut and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Label Me Lovely tag was punched from Garden Green cardstock and adhered to the tag.
- Just for You from Tags in Bloom was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Label Me Fancy Punch. It was added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A couple Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots were added above and below the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Luck of the Irish

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is Luck of the Irish…any color of green cards! Since we are so close to St. Patrick’s Day, I did my Gnome Leprechaun again!

LEPRECHAUN GNOME

Isn’t he cute? I love the “red” beard on this one. (Check out Thursday’s post if you want to see the other Gnome Leprechaun card I made.)

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock is embossed with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder and added on top.
A 1 x 4-1/2 strip of Garden Lane Designer Paper was added across the front, then a 3/4 x 3 placed on top of that.
A 1/8 x 4-3/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock added on top.
The scallop rectangle was cut from Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched So Sweeting Dies and added on top.
The gnome hat was punched from Garden Green cardstock with the Tree Builder Punch, the nose is 1/2″ Circle Punch from Petal Pink cardstock, the beard is the leaf shape from Tropical Dies cut from Cajun Craze cardstock. The feet are punched from Basic Black cardstock with the Perennial Flower Punch.
The Basic Black band is a 1/8″ strip punched with the Tree Builder Punch, then added to the hat. The buckle is a 1/4 x 1/4 piece of Gold Glimmer Paper.
He is adhered together and added to the scallop rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the small label in Stitched So Sweetly Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Thursday!!! It’s time for a Create with Connie and Mary challenge! This week we have a fun color combination for you to try.

Since we are getting close to St. Patrick’s Day, I thought I’d use this color combination for a St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Gnome! SO fun, isn’t it?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pear Pizzazz cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The front was embossed with the FREE Power of Hope/Stone Embossing Folder (sure wish that would stay in the regular lineup…I love the texture!)
At the bottom is a 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Old Olive Regals 6×6 DSP.
A 1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Soft Suede cardstock is added to hide the seam.
The Whisper White was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, stamped with Have a Lucky Day (Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set) in Soft Suede Ink and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The shamrock was punched with the heart from the Dog Punch and hand-cut stem, then adhered to the front.
A light green Rhinestone from Noble Peacock Rhinestones was added to the center of the shamrock.
The gnome hat was punched from the Old Olive Regals DSP with the Tree Builder Punch, the nose is 1/2″ Circle Punch from Petal Pink cardstock, the beard is the leaf shape from Tropical Dies from Soft Suede cardstock. The feet are punched from Basic Black cardstock with the Perennial Flower Punch.
The Basic Black band is a strip punched with the Tree Builder Punch, then added to the hat. The buckle is a 1/4 x 1/4 piece of Gold Glimmer Paper.
He is put on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
