CCMC610 – Clubhouse

Happy Thursday, everyone!!!  We have a fun and SUPER simple card sketch for you this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

I think my card is the EASIEST one I’ve ever done!  lol!  I let the Country Club designer paper do all the work!

Isn’t that simple?  Here are the Stampin’ Details (if you even need them!)

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of navy plaid in Country Club DSP was adhered across the front.
  • On top the 3-1/8 x 4-3/8 piece of golf ball print Country Club DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Night of Navy cardstock, then added to the front.
  • A 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Crushed Curry cardstock was added at the top.
  • Happy Birthday from Clubhouse Stamp Set was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, then added to the Crushed Curry piece with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Because I just HAD to add a little something, two Gilded Gems were added to the lower right corner.

IM121 – Positive Thoughts

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a feather corsage!  Wouldn’t this be pretty and unusual for a wedding or dance corsage?

 

I love the Positive Thoughts stamp set!  If you didn’t get the coordinating Dies, I’m hoping they will be in the new catalog!!!  Cross your fingers!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder, then sprinkles from Label Me Bold added to the top left and bottom right with Early Espresso Ink.
    • A frame was made with two sizes of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (or use the Rectangle ones!) cut from Terracotta Tile cardstock and adhered to the front.
    • The fern was stamped twice with Petal Pink Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then hand-cut (or use Nature’s Thoughts Dies if you have them).
    • The feathers were stamped twice with Pool Party Ink on Whisper White cardstock and also hand-cut (or use the dies).
    • The ferns and feathers were added towards the top portion of the rectangle.
    • The greeting from Positive Thoughts was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1 x 4 piece of Whisper White and added across the front.
    • Some Linen Thread was doubled, then tied in a bow and added to the stems with Mini Glue Dot.
    • Finally, a trio of In Color Faceted Gems were added to the front for a little bling.

Saturday Blog Hop – Bring May Flowers

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  Last week our theme was April Showers…this week we continue with “Bring May Flowers”…any floral set!  Which floral set with the Design Team choose?  There are quite a variety!

ORNATE STYLE

I had to use Ornate Style Stamp Set for my card, although I did use completely different colors than what is in the Garden Suite AND I only used a partial piece of the large flower bundle.  I love these soft spring colors.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was added on top.
  • A 1-3/4 x 3 piece of pink polka dot Best Dressed Designer Paper was added to the front left side, with a 2 x 3-1/4 floral Best Dressed DSP added over top of it.  Then a 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Old Olive polka dot Best Dressed DSP over it!  Three layers of DSP!
  • The Highland Heather cardstock was cut with the Scallop Layering Circle die.
  • The floral bundle from Ornate Style stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut a portion with the Layering Circle Die.  It was colored with Light & Dark Highland Heather, Light & Dark Old Olive, Light Petal Pink and Light & Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  TIP:  Cut the circle before you color to save a little time and effort!
  • Pop up the circles on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp You’re Amazing from Ornate Thanks stamp set with Gorgeous Grape Ink on the Whisper White layer.
  • Add a purple Glitter Enamel Dot to the background above the greeting.

CCMC609 – Under My Umbrella

Happy Thursday!!! Here’s a nice, bright color challenge for you on Create with Connie and Mary today!

I used my Under My Umbrella stamp set for this cute card.  Isn’t it nice and springy looking?

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is added on top.
  • A 1 x 4 strip of Brights 6×6 DSP in Daffodil Delight was added to the front towards the top.
  • The closed umbrella image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana, then punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.
  • The handles were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Gray Granite cardstock, and punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.
  • All umbrellas were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three flower bouquets were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with Light & Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Bermuda Bay and Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  They were hand-cut and added to the umbrellas.
  • Champagne Rhinestones were added to the center of the flowers.
  • Some White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the center handle and tied in a bow.
  • The greeting from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink.

April 2020 Maui Achievers Blog Hop

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Maui trip!  April’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!

ORNATE GARDEN SUITE

The Ornate Garden Suite is a sneak peek offering from the NEW upcoming Annual Catalog!  Yes, customers can order the suite NOW and not have to wait until June for some new catalog products!  Isn’t that exciting?  It is a beautiful suite, too!  But, I actually just used a couple things from it…the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder and the Ornate Garden Designer Paper!  I’ve been challenged to create cards for my Club Kits that don’t have much stamping…my customers can switch out whatever greeting they have on hand.  So this is one for that purpose…a few punches, some designer paper and pretty embellishments make the card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock is embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.
  • A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Ornate Garden Designer Paper is added towards the right side.
  • A 1/2 x 4 piece of coordinating Ornate Garden Designer Paper goes across the front.
  • Mango Melody cardstock was punched twice with the Medium Daisy Punch and the centers colored with Mango Melody Ink with a sponge dauber.  They were adhered together with Monoadhesive Glue, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Old Olive cardstock was punched with the Leaf Punch and curled on the edges, then tucked under the daisy with Monoadhesive Glue.
  • Celebrate Every Moment greeting from Honey Bee stamp set (LOVE this set for the greetings alone!!!) was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then punched with the Label Me Fancy Punch.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A couple Champagne Rhinestones were added to the tag.
  • The yellow Perennial Essence Flower Center was colored with the Bronze Stampin’ Blends Marker to change it to a brown color!  Love how that turned out!

IM120 – Wild Rose

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some delicious looking cookies…too pretty to eat, right?

 

I pulled out Wild Rose Bundle…one of my favorite flower sets from the Annual Catalog.  I really like how stamping the Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla made it look like tone-on-tone white flowers like the cookies!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock was added on top.
    • A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Garden Lane Designer Paper was added to the front.
    • The large Wild Rose flower was stamped twice with Sahara Sand Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the Wild Rose Dies.  The center of one was cut out and added to the full flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then to the front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The leaves were stamped off with Mint Macaron Ink and detail stamped full strength with Mint Macaron Ink, then cut with the Dies and adhered under the flower.
    • The smaller detailed flowers were cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the dies and the fillers cut from Garden Green cardstock with the dies.  Both were added with Monoadhesive Glue.
    • The hello greeting from Wild Rose stamp set was stamped with Garden Green Ink.
    • The large and small Clear Faceted Gems were added to the centers for a little bling!

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is April Showers…rain, rainbows, umbrellas, etc!

UNDER MY UMBRELLA & FABLE FRIENDS

I combined two sets for my card…Under My Umbrella and Fable Friends.  I thought the duck was so cute (and appropriate) for an April Showers card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Marina Mist cardstock was embossed with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder, then layered on a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock.
  • A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Brights 6×6 Poppy Parade DSP was added across the front.
  • The Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the raindrops from Under My Umbrella several times with Marina Mist Ink, then adhered to the front.
  • The duck from Fable Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Light & Dark Pineapple Punch, Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie and Light Gray Granite Blends.  He was cut out by hand and added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The umbrella from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a piece of Brights 6×6 Poppy Parade DSP, then punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.  The handle was punched from Basic Gray cardstock.  The umbrella was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the handle with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • The flower bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light & Dark Poppy Parade, Dark Call Me Clover and Light Pineapple Punch Blends.  It was hand-cut and added to the top of the umbrella.
  • A Pineapple Punch Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot was added in the center of the flower.
  • The greeting from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge!  This week is a really neat sketch for you to try!

I used my By The Dock Bundle for my card.  I purchased this set because my family lives or has lived by a lake and does a lot of boating!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake is embossed with the High Seas Embossing Folder.
  • The largest Nested Label was cut from Balmy Blue and trimmed to fit along the right side.
  • On a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock, the background was watercolored with Balmy Blue Ink along the bottom and Pool Party Ink across the top.  The boat was stamped with Early Espresso Ink, then colored with the Light & Soft Crumb Cake Blends. and the waves were stamped with Balmy Blue Ink under the boat.
  • Happy Birthday was stamped with Early Espresso Ink in the upper left corner.
  • Two of the oars were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Crumb Cake cardstock, then cut with the Dockside Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
